Posted - Jan 27 2003 : 15:04:18 Lol, I saw this topic and had to come in. I have never played PrivateerI, I could never find it, but PrivateerII kept me occupied for countless hours. Although it did freeze often it allowed for so many different situations to pop up out of no where it was very entertaining. |

Posted - Jan 24 2003 : 10:41:49 Privateer 2. That was a mixed bag of tricks for me. Personally, I would go for Descent3 over Privateer2. The problem with the sequel was that it froze continually and, like HW:C, it's one patch did not help too well. IF you can find the GOLD addition of Privateer get it! It is worth more game play wise than Privateer2.
Don;t get me wrong P2 was fun - space combat was a blast, but between some bugs and the fact that Descent3 and Freespace 1 and 2 were better... I returned my game years ago. Hopefully you will enjoy it more than I did. |

Posted - Jan 24 2003 : 06:26:23 Well I found Privateer as a free download and trashed my win98 operating system to get it to work LOL. Found Privateer 2 on ebay. Won the bid so I'll be getting that in a few weeks(comming from Israel). Im hooked on Privateer again. I need to import a few files to get my 1 comp working again. Deleted the files that made FAT32 work I think LOL.
Peace
