Posted - Nov 30 2008 : 18:43:57 I just got an email from UPS.com, well guess what it wasn't from them. the email said they wouldnt be able to ship my package as the address is wrong, said to print out the attached copy of the receipt and bring it to the local ups store.
the attachment was a zip file containing a virusl
Thank God my new virus killer found it immediately upon opening it.
here is a copy of it: From: "United Postal Service" <info>To: <michaelj>Subject: Your Tracking # 158030041829Date: Fri, 28 Nov 2008 19:14:16 +0100 Sorry, we were not able to deliver postal package you sent on November the 1st in time because the recipient’s address is not correct. Please print out the invoice copy attached and collect the package at our office.If you do not receive package in ten days you will have to pay 36$ per day. Your UPS |

Posted - Dec 01 2008 : 09:01:28 UPS emailed me back saying the emails have been going around, and thanked me for sending them the copy as they can now research and likely catch the perp. |

Posted - Nov 30 2008 : 21:11:49 My ISP has stopped a couple of these emails before they got to me. I think that I got the first one about a month ago.
