Posted - Nov 21 2018 : 07:39:32 Blizzard is set to launch a "classic" server next year.
It's sort of based on patch 1.12 and uses the current game engine. Honestly, I'm interested even though I haven't played WoW for a few years at this point.
Thoughts?
(Arcane, I promise I won't bail on the guild again ...) |

NoseHair by-pass told me u really do not like the game, i was tryiing to think of some lie or something but,,,, all i could come up with is this, truth is Nose, would just simply love a chance for all that can play to p=get together, , i notice they have a 30 day thing, heh its funny , not really , but the only things i could think of to say was smartass crap , so insert some really good wit, at this stage and pretend it was me ?

I’ve enjoyed the ride and I hope to see a couple of you when it releases. |

Posted - Jul 05 2019 : 14:18:32 There's been some noise on the forums regarding two aspects of the game that effect hunters in particular - leeway and spell batching.
Leeway, as I understand it, is the way the game predicts where things are. Mechanisms like this aren't uncommon. It's a way that games can appear to play in real time when, in fact, there's always some delay. Reportedly, the way it's implemented has a significant affect on the hunter "dead zone". It's possible that the way it was calculated back in 2004-2005 allots too much time and doesn't consider that computers and network connections work faster than then.
The other issue is spell batching. As I understand that one it's that, again the game is accounting for delays in player actions and game implementation. As players use actions, they're put on a "to do" list.
Here's where this issue combined with leeway effect hunters. A hunter can use Feign Death, but a batched attack can still land and keep combat going.
I haven't seen either of these myself, but lots of people have been talking about them. None of my hunters are high enough level to train FD yet, though.
In other news, I've made warrior ... apparently just to remind myself why I never leveled one before. It's slow and dangerous. For example, my NE hunter has made the run through the Wetlands with out dying. My pet died 4 times, but the hunter made it unscathed. I can't even imagine that being the case with a warrior (probably not a mage either). |

Posted - Jul 03 2019 : 10:53:10 I'm good with PvE and alliance.
And, since I've been playing a hunter lately, that's in the mix for a main. |

Posted - Jul 02 2019 : 17:42:07 Classic... hmmm... most likely PvE as you can jump into PvP if you want and don't have to worry about it the rest of the time. 90% of my current toons are Horde... so I might go Alliance... or both and see what is more enjoyable. |
| Arcane |
Posted - Jul 02 2019 : 17:38:11 Still have toons on Feathermoon, Sisters of Elune, and Wyrmrest Accord... oh and something on Twisting Nether if memory serves. If I play though it is normally on SoE or WA. |

Posted - Jul 02 2019 : 10:30:18 I hadn't checked Warcraft but after I did, I got an invite.
You're subbed now? What realm?
For Classic, have you decided on PvP vs. Pve?, Horde vs Alliance?
|
| Arcane |
Posted - Jul 01 2019 : 17:13:27 I'll check it out Aged. I have a current sub AND I thought I checked both beta boxes... I might have missed Warcraft though. |

Posted - Jun 27 2019 : 03:34:03 The other thing you have to do is opt in to BOTH World of Warcraft and Warcraft under beta preferences on your account.
If you do get an invite, I'm on the PvP server.
Characters: Enyetu Dunbarnernaj Ahanki Fartkillero Mothy
(note: I chose all my names at random!) |

Posted - Jun 26 2019 : 20:02:31 You have to have a current subscription in order to get a beta invite. |
| Arcane |
Posted - Jun 26 2019 : 16:42:50 I signed up for the beta but haven't received any notice... I'll likely do a priest something... or a Huntard. If we play Alliance I'll do a pally. |

Posted - Jun 26 2019 : 16:12:44 The shaman is level 30, the Druid is level 20 and I’m running a priest now (level 17 currently). The level cap has been raised to 40 and I’m seeing a fair number of people with mounts. Lower level content areas are starting to look a little lonely. I queued for a 10-19 WSG that never popped and chat messages looking for lower level dungeons is getting more quiet.
PvP wise I’ve been ganked twice but haven’t returned the favor yet.
At the present, I’m leaning toward a Druid or priest as a main.
I’m still enjoying the ride. |

Posted - Jun 03 2019 : 07:35:03 More from (mostly) Kalimdor ...
The shaman is now up to level 23. He's done 2 dungeons (both times as dps with some off healing) and some PvP via Warsong Gulch battleground. I have had him to some contested territory, but mostly in areas that the alliance don't often go, so no open world PvP yet.
The druid is now up to level 15. He's done Ragefire Chasm as a tank. In fact, I've gotten a few whispers to join other dungeon groups.
I've added an undead warlock (level 5) that I plan to use as a bank alt. He has tailoring and enchanting, so he'll DE unused items and hopefully make some bags (more on that later).
Over the weekend I made a troll hunter (level 8). Playing a hunter without a pet sucks. You don't get that until level 10.
Things I've forgotten. Bag space is one of the most valuable things you can have. Your original backpack and the meager 6 slot bags (if you lucky with drops) fill up really quick. This is especially important to skinners, but it's something you have to manage.
On the gold making side of things, it definitely is the case that 2 gathering professions are best - particularly skinning (since there's often free materials just lying there for the taking). The current level cap is 30, so a mount isn't in the cards yet, but once that's lifted I'll let you know how the gold situation goes.
I'm still enjoying my time with the old game - much more so than the current iteration (which I haven't played at all since the beta invite).
