This may tie me over until BF2 Bad Company for new game purchases.

At the main splash screen, click on the Configure button and then hit the Game option under Dragon Age: Origins heading on the LHS.
There you'll find what version you are running. |

Posted - Dec 29 2009 : 19:05:55 I tried to find the version too. I took a chance and DL'd the patch from Fileplanet. The official website is not very forthcoming with patch infromation either.
For the Ogre I had to hit the space bar several tiems and designate character tasks and positions to defeat him. poisoning arrows helps a bit and the acid flasks too.
There's also a small dragon that is very tough in some ruins. (you'll find it.) |

I know what you mean :) I've started my 3rd character. I settled on a Dalish Elf, Rogue class with heavy archery skills and lockpick. I'm going up my focus on dual wielding daggers later on as well.
Incidenlty, the second minor patch is out. (less than 40Megs) Ver 1.02a It makes skill level regular easier to play giving more hit points per hit and a little more toughness. The Ogre is not as impossible as before. :) |

Posted - Nov 04 2009 : 20:03:48 Well, the game is definitely well done. It has the feel of Neverwinter Nights story telling meets Mass Effect's graphics. Dragon Age is basically Bioware's love for D&D free from the D&D fanboy's who complained about NWN breaking the # Edition rules.
Needless to say, I am looking forward to playing the Old Republic MMORPG once they release it. |

Posted - Nov 03 2009 : 18:27:06 I bought the in-store version of the game since the download able versions have SecuRom. The physical version just uses a disc check.
Just started messing with it now, so I have no real opinion about the game yet. |
