Posted - May 12 2003 : 12:15:17 Has anyone had a problem with display on the MW4 Vengeance? when I am in game (in the mech), the display is very fuzzy and breaks in and out of clarity. Also, I can see a redrawing of the structures flickering in a double vision looking problem. It almost looks like it does when you have suffered sensor damage in a game.
Either I need to update the drivers or I have a problem w/ setup. The system works great in Shogun: Total War and Homeworld. Just screwy in MW.

Posted - May 14 2003 : 09:50:15 Found the problem. My Saitek Cyborg 2000 was causing the problem. Don't know how, though. My old 2 button joystick works fine and not video problems. I had to setup my Saitek w/ the Thrustmaster setup until I can get the proper driver. My memory was that it was compatible. If that is not the problem, my Cyborg is toast. |

I'll solve your problem for ya. Rip that Damn ATI out of your new system and send it to me. In return I'll send you a Geforce 3. |

Posted - May 12 2003 : 21:31:11 Some of what I've read on forums like Rage3D has indicated a problem/conflict with soundcards and the MW4 games. You might try running dxdiag and shutting off acceleration for the sound (I think there's also a 'nosound' option for the game too). Try it and if it works there's your problem. |

Posted - May 12 2003 : 18:31:21 I've had lots of problems with MW4 and my ATI 9700 pro.......mine started with the update with DX9 and disappeared when I uninstalled DX9. |

Posted - May 12 2003 : 12:47:18 Hey BP. I would always recommend upgrading to the latest drivers. It really sounds to me like an overclocking problem though (probably not but given the description... )
Since you "got a Dell" have them check out the system down the wire. They have great remote tools to help fix issues. Besides, if it is the card that is bad they will replace it. |
