The export function from Champion Builder seems to only make a mess so I will do this by hand. This is a summoner build made for staying power and lots of pets. Not exactly sure how passive slots work. Tried to get more than one active at a time and was unable to. Not sure if more open up at higher lvls or the different slot types are based on your current settings. So with that in mind this build has only one passive ability.

SUMMONER

Eldritch Bolts
The early powers you want are in magic so you have to start with this. The wizards discretion add on is nice since it procs hold.

Eldritch Blast
Tried the hold and it was ok but basic damage seems better here. The hold immunity and charge up for it make the hold less effective.

Sigils of Arcane Runes
Hit this, hold block and wait for da big boom. This power by itself will take out most of a spawn.

Earth Flight
Fits well with the mage look. almost any will work here. You could go with teleport for the hit and run thing but I like to hover while fighting.

Sigils of the Primal Storm
Pop this while waiting for rune recharge. Its not great but does add some damage over time while you do other things...like block.

Personal Force Field
Health boost and regen all in one. This will be your main defense. The other defensive powers are all damage reduction that combine well with a slow recharge shield.

Circle of Primal Domination
As if the name is not cool enough this combined with the force field should keep nice and safe while you summon your army of doom and distruction. Unlike the other circles this one has knockback protection so its harder to blast you away from it. I dont pick a summon circle here because you get plenty of summon but have few choices that add to your defense.

March of the Dead
Now we get into the meat. Your first real summon. Go forth my minions and feed on flesh.

Tryannon's Familiar
Not exactly sure what it does but its rank 3 and a pet so it should be useful.

Eye Beam
The Powered Armor set has a bunch of toggle attack powers. They can fire while you do other attacks or powers. Light this off first then start your summoning. This is the only one that has the right look for a mage. Missiles are cool and all but not shooting out my robe.

Summon Nightmare
Have not seen one yet but should have the right kind of look. Make sure you fully charge it to get the second pet.

Lifedrain
Use this to stay alive when the shield fails.

Ball Lightning
Make sure you take the upgrade that gives you 3 instead of 1.

Unbreakable
Its a short term dam resistance buff for tough spots. When you get in trouble activate this then start draining life.

Teleport
Basic panic button and sneak attack.

Fire Snake
Not my favorate summon based on the discriptions but more cant hurt. You could pick another power at this point based on how the char plays. Telekinetic Maelstrom sounds like it might be a good power here. PBAOE hold could be usefull with a army of pets. Vapor Form could be right nasty with all the pets.

Talants
Mind Reader
Field Ops Training
Sniper Training
Survival Training
Command Training
Disciplin Training
Ascetic

Super Stats
Super Intelligence (+Pet Damage)
Super Enduance (Boosts Personal Force Field)

Base Stats
Str 13
Dex 16
Con 21
Int 99
Ego 31
Pre 29
Rec 17
End 100

This build should be able to walk through PVE with no problem at all. Even at low lvl I was able to solo group missions several lvls higher than I was at the time. That was with only the two sigil powers and no other summons.

I did try a PVP match and did ok. Our team won and I got 2nd on my team and 3rd overall. I was at lvl 13 (boosted to combat lvl 20) and had the hold instead of the Eldritch Blast. Would have done better with the damage. Since I only had the Sigils instead of mobile summons my damage was fairly low for the build. At higher lvl this should do quite well in PVP assuming pets dont die in 2 sec.

In any case you should be so hard to kill that they go for other targets instead. The damage absorbed by Personal Force Field does not show when they attack you. It looks like they are doing no damage at all. In big fights they will gang on targets with low health. Since most of your heath is hidden in the shield and you are surounded by a army your death rate should be very low. In my match I got 5 kills and 1 death. My one death was from a guy spamming eye beam.

Because most of your damage is fire and forget your damage should be way up compaired to most builds once you get your summons out. This is dependant on how long pets last and their cooldowns but with this many pets it should be no problem keeping quite a few out at once.

Did you guys know that throwing stars disrupt block? I had a guy show me in the power house and I couldn't block for like 5 sec. I was going to go ahead and finish the duel I had with him and all he did was block and run away and didn't attack me at all. He was several levels above me and I was thinking I was going to get crushed by this guy be he really sucked a pvp. He told me after the match that he had said previously that he was in the middle of a free respec and didn't have anything but the basic powers lol i guess I missed that part!

You can mail items to yourself or anyone else. All you need is their user name. Your items got trashed because mail is bugged atm and not working right. Sometimes it works and someties it does not. When it fails the items go poof.
Bloody Posted - Sep 08 2009 : 06:40:56
Yeah and a super group bank would be nice so we could share items. I have yet to figure out how you mail an item to someone, and I even tried to give an item to a random person, but it simply destroyed the thing.
Fossil-OMO Posted - Sep 07 2009 : 16:54:06
We all need to pick a night we can all be on Champs so we can form up the SG, we need 5 people online at the same time, so come cats get herded.

I only got to play Aion for a little bit (open beta started yesterday) as they seem to like to turn off the servers at prime US playing time. I got to lvl 4 and it was a real grind I felt, but fast. The game looks great and it ran smooth. It was too easy so far, but not a big deal cause I guess it would get hard later. Not sure I can live with the overtly Asian feel. Lots of the sounds and voices are very Asian and it feels kinda like a Japan story line game.

Gonna try it later for a few lvls if they leave the damn server on.
Petrified-OMO Posted - Sep 07 2009 : 13:56:26
LOL

You are funny. Play is free for me with AION and I won't even have to buy the game on release since it was a "we are so sorry for killing Tabula Rasa" mea culpa kinda thing for NC Soft. I've been in closed Beta and while I have not really done any PvP it is a fun game. It gets a bit grindy after level 12 and you can easily lose your place in the missions if you stop playing for week. But the flight is fun... when you can use it.
Fossil-OMO Posted - Sep 07 2009 : 10:25:55
I figured out why I couldn't get on, apparently they want you to pay heh, all I saw was that the server was down, didn't say anything about how it was time to start subscribing. How is Aion? I hear a lot of hype about that game.
Bloody Posted - Sep 07 2009 : 08:13:19
I only played for a few min. yesterday (was playing new FH2 and some Aion) so not sure. I need to get into the ring again and see what the respec has done for me. Before I was about even in PvP matches. In three rounds I was 6-7. I will post what my new ones are after a few rounds.

BTW, some guy posted a nice thing in the forums about travel powers, blocks, and passives. If I had seen that a week ago things would have been so different. lol I didn't even know about the room to check powers at the trainers area. duh.

Also hope they bring back the character profile pages.
Fossil-OMO Posted - Sep 06 2009 : 22:01:52
I haven't been able to play all evening, are the servers down or am I just crazy?
Fossil-OMO Posted - Sep 06 2009 : 17:07:02
IMO they need to disable travel powers in pvp, it's too easy if you have teleport to jump out of a fight if things aren't going your way. I do ok in pvp with my guy but the melee to get energy is tough. If I was to make a pure pvp player I'd have to have ranged energy power. I get a lot of kills on my rat only because of the bot that tag every thing in the ring heh.

Old Bugger OMO Posted - Sep 06 2009 : 12:15:49
Yes if your not running a passive you are going to have problems. You shouldnt need to do a lot of study to make a good char. All I have done is read the ingame tool tips on stats and powers and a bit of experimenting. If you hover over a stat in the char screen it will tell you a lot. There are rooms in the side doors of the traning zone that allow you to test things before you have to pay to untrain them.

Well I got my new pvp toon Runepriest to 20. So far he is unbeatable. In a couple hours of arena he has never been killed and normally gets 12 to 14 kills against the average group. Against a good one he gets 5 to 8 but ties up the other team so much my side will win most of the time. Only one team loss so far and most of my teams sucked.

I ran into a group of 3 on a team once that where working together. Two healers and a damage dealer. They did very well. Only one healer died and it took my whole team to do it. My side won tho because I spent the whole match locking down the healers so all they could do is heal each other. Thats the one I only got five kills in.

I expect the nerf bat to come down hard on ego sprites. It should have a short cooldown. It would still be a good power but would not be so OP. I tried drain life and the lifegain was not much. Could be added to buff up your defense a little but for the energy cost to heal ratio it is really weak.

Runepriest @ lvl 20

Kinetic Dart - Incicsive Wit
Procs Ego Surge and imob. Gives a good damage buff and helps break holds.

Ego Blast
Does good damage at long range and a procs a hold. I use this to snipe people who are low on health before they can run or heal. Fully charged does and nice chunk of damage at once.

Ego Sprites - Slave Mentality, Rank 2
Does dot in a 25ft area. The damage is nice beacue when they try to run it is still killing them. They TP away just to die in a corner. The healing has a 10 sec delay so you have to find a way to stay alive long enough for it to kick in. I use a temp Def buff for this. The healing is small unless you spam it. Then you go from a sliver to full in a few seconds. I have had entire teams beating on me and spent half the time held and didnt die. I even run in balanced stance not defensve.

Teleport
Normally I recomend this for defense but on this build I use it to chase and charge into the middle of the largest group. I open the match by charging into the middle of the other teams entrance and taking as many on as I can. Sometimes I use it to keep me alive durring the heal delay on Ego Sprites but not often.

Lightning Reflexes - Rank 2
This combines well with using ego and dex as your super stats. Those stat give you both high damage and defense.

Devour Essance
This is both a heavy damage attack and a fast heal. You need to be in melee but I dont have much of a problem finding someone standing still. There is almost always at least one melee beating on me or one nearby. This does the most damage of any of your attacks so its good to get a kill or break someones regen tank.

Mighty Leap
This is a charge attack that can root and stun. Mainly I want it for the charge. Gets you close to your target so you can get off a Devour Essance or get in range of Ego Sprites. Is also a nice counter to knockback. I find it hard to tell who I am shooting at a lot so this helps me follow them so I keep in range of my energy builder.

Sigils of Ebon Weakness
Both a offensive and defensive power. It is static but has a large area and a fairly quick recharge. I fire this off any time the battle is staying in one place for long. As a debuff it helps your team as much as it helps you. When I TP into thier start area this is the first thing I fire.

Masterful Dodge
This is my temp defense power. I use it to stay alive durring the 10 sec heal delay on Ego Sprites and any time I am getting hit hard or chain held. I rarely try to use it more often then its cooldown time. When I want it before its recharged I use Mighty Leap then Devour Essance or TP.

Super Stats
Dex
Ego

For talents and gear I focus mainly on dex, ego, rec, con and str. In that order. The rest are either useless or not that imporant. I do not use the items that give KB or hold res so I want some str to help deal with that.

The main thing you have to worry about is keeping on a target with your energy builder and getting ego sprites off often enough to keep you alive. You want to stay in Ego Surge as much as possable so you will be using your energy builder a lot. This allows you to not put a whole lot into your energy stats. I think my endurance is around 15 and my rec is close to 30.

You could just run around spamming Ego Sprites the whole time but I get more kills when I put some effort into it and mix up my attacks. It also does not feel as cheap that way. After the first assault on them most players will not even try to kill you. I like to take down pets when I can. Even tho they cant hurt me they hurt your team. Since my main attack is aoe I can kill them while getting kills on any player nearby. This is not a super damage build so some players you will not be able to kill solo. There are not many that can stand up to you with another player helping so its good to keep an eye on who is being attcked by someone else.
Bloody Posted - Sep 06 2009 : 09:56:45
Thanks to Fossil for your tip on slotted passive that I had missed all together. I guess post patch around launch day that slot was added. I played a little gadget since then, but most my time was on my munitions guy and it turns out that munitions don't even have anything available for that slot (at least at lvl 16). Once Fossil told me about the slot, I found I had to respec and ended up putting regen there (rank 2) and that one missing item has made a huge difference. I can actually take on a mob of 3 or more similar or even a bit higher and actually live. After slotting regen I was able to do 5 quests in rapid fire with only 1 or 2 deaths. Huge change from before and I now have a much more positive outlook on things. lol

Back to a real game. Warhammer Online.

I've got 3 toons up to level 9 with all of them pretty much doing 60% plus of their leveling in PvP (RvR).

Most needed and the one I feel the most contributing with is my Shaman, Jelopi. The little git is a great healer and a lot of fun to play. I especially like how they reward doing a certain amount of offensive damage while you are healing and a certain amount of extra damage when healing. It makes for a much more varied game play when you are not just spamming heals.

I also have an Orc Choppa (melee) guy named Vug, but I am not a good melee type as he tends to get owned.

My third guy is a Chaos Magus (ranged mage type) that deals out some nice damage. When I can get a healer protecting me I can stand in the middle of a fight and deal some major damage at any range.

I am hating the Order side and especially the archers and mages as they build up a mean alpha strike ability that those bastages love to dump on my Magus that nearly insta-pops him.

Good fun on the Warhammer Front for anyone finding the cape and stretchy pants crowd a little too shallow.
Fossil-OMO Posted - Sep 04 2009 : 15:16:32
I think if they would have stayed with the beta they might have had a flop on their hands, it was fun no doubt about that, but it was too easy. I don't think people were slotting defensive powers or using any type of strategy to take down mobs, I know I wasn't on the lab rat. Now I have to do a little planning and the mission seem like more of an accomplishment than the did before.

I think grouping should be necessary or why else play a MMO? there really isn't any death penalty so who cares if you die multiple times. They need some more pvp games for sure maybe a free for all zone with a last man standing kind of thing. I was hoping there were going to be fractions but I guess that won't be till later if at all. Over all It's a decent MMO that I enjoy playing.

Bloody Posted - Sep 04 2009 : 12:27:52
So I feel a little better about the game after reading all the post on the official forums. The nerf bat hit everyone super hard and only those that have the time and patients to read, read, and read more about stats and how they all work together are doing well in the game. Apparently the lead on the game said in the beta that too many people were blowing through content too quickly and too many toons were able to solo group quests. So out came the mega nerf bat.

I also agree with the sentiment that the game felt like a super hero game in beta, as you had little trouble with mobs and only had a fight when you went up against a super villain. The game now feels more like super hero in training and more in depth. This is good maybe for the long term sucess of the game, but I do think it will hurt in the short term. I think subscriber renewals for the second month (first month is free remember) will go way down, as many are looking for a fun, quick paced MMO.

I am not giving up by any means, but I guess the scope of the game and what I expect out of it has changed a lot now. I have 6 months to learn it now (as I got suckered into the 6 month subscript cause of the quality of the beta), but I really don't think I will be playing quite as much as I figured I would. I really wanted it to be a fast paced, combat style, mmo that had a low "research factor" to it. One thing that has always bugged me about WoW is the fact you had to spend a good deal of your play time looking up items, quests, NCPs, etc on websites like wowhead.com. I think this game is turning out to be similar or worse in that you will have to research the crap out of stats and what super power goes with another and what gear to use with a specific built, etc. I just want to build a fun toon, kick bad guy butt and move on to the next.
Petrified-OMO Posted - Sep 04 2009 : 08:04:08
Should be up and running later tonight, barring issues.
Bloody Posted - Sep 03 2009 : 06:42:24
I suck.

I did finally get to 17 with my gadget toon. Heal bots working better, so maybe that little patch did some good? Just found out yesterday that there was a bank and auction house. lol

Started 3 new toons for fun. a mix munitions and martial arts, a pure munitions (very cool, fun toon), and a supernatural type.
Old Bugger OMO Posted - Sep 02 2009 : 23:57:05
Hivemind just soloed fight club. One death, knockback...hold...knockback in the main room while fighting 3 groups. Cleared the rest fairly easy. Had to TP out and heal a couple times but it was not hard.
Fossil-OMO Posted - Sep 02 2009 : 19:22:08
I'm having a blast with my supernatural guy in PvP, it's not sexy but damn is it good.
