Posted - Feb 18 2006 : 06:48:14 With OMO's increasing popularity, you all consider starting a junior sub clan made up of folks in the upper teens and twenties. They'd have to prove themselve to OMO of course.
Not sure if they'd wear omo tags or other tags. Just a thought.

So, Target. You didn't answer the question. Do you want to head up the OMO Regs? You don't have to change your name, you get preferrential treatment on our server and you get to play with/against OMO. Doesn't take much effort but, if your willing to do it we can discuss how to set it up on Vent.
You guys barely know me, but sure, I can do it.

Posted - Feb 19 2006 : 07:28:32 I think all remaining CFH are 35 ish. Not my main reason at all.
Just that I've seen what seem to be really good folks appling for OMO, who aside from the age requirement, seem to be a good fit.
As for me, until EA fixes the name change issue, I'm probably going to keep loanwolfing it for a while. I've stated before here, I hate the ranking system, but I like two of the unlocked weapons (use them all of the time) and have enough rank that I can play commander just about anytime I want. Just don't want to give any of that up right now.
See yas on the battlefield.

Posted - Feb 19 2006 : 01:38:59 For all the new OMO and some of the "regs" probably really dont know what ole Festy is laughing about..It actually brings a smile to my face to remeber such old topics..if you guys do some searching in teh members forums youll find some great reading material...The debate around here were always full of life....Expecially the "too hot to handle" section..I really tried to stay out of that one.

Posted - Feb 18 2006 : 23:08:34 I didn't understand a lot of this thread but I think Heart has a good idea. I was a reg at the OTH site even though I was an OMO. They would make room on their server if you asked and you were treated like one of the guys. And yea I was in my first scrim as a Reg vs OTH and we got stomped. I feel we do this(treat the regs like one of the guys) anyway for most of the regulars that play on the server, post in the forums and come into vent. Maybe we need CFH Target to lead the OMO Regs group. |

Posted - Feb 18 2006 : 16:23:15 It is a nice thought and compliment to us, Target. We appreciate it, however, the making of such a club really is not practical for us (mainly because we would be doing a lot of work for something that is not really a part of us). I would think that you will receive some encouragement from many of us in setting up a younger group of players that is modeled on a similar set of guidelines (less the age part, of course) to our own. I have met and played with many younger players who would some day make excellent OMOs.
So, if that something you and the rest of the CJFs that are now homeless might be interested in doing, you should go for it and you guys would be welcome to come join us on our server. You'd be greeted with the same courtesy, respect, and gunfire that you currently enjoy, I'm sure. |

Posted - Feb 18 2006 : 13:39:25 What we might do is setup a Regs group similiar to what they had over on the OTH server in the good ole days. Just about anyone could be a part of the Regs and it was fun to have Regs VS OTH nights as well, although OTH kicked the Regs butt quite frequently. |

Posted - Feb 18 2006 : 10:30:23 I could see having children of OMOs playing in their own clan/club but I don't really think we want teenagers that we have no control over in our club or sub club. Just my opinion and it doesn't necessarily reflect the opinion of OMO as a whole. |

Posted - Feb 18 2006 : 09:56:25 thank you for your restraint Festy ole' boy.
We have tossed the idea around over the years Target. I like the idea that "youngsters" will Hopefully stick around our server long enough to become a full fledged Old Man Online club member, this club could be called "Hopeful Old Men Online" (HOMO).
