Posted - Aug 22 2005 : 12:25:21 Took my 17 year old son to see this one last night. The concept of a thinking/learning computer flying a fighter jet is interesting, but I honestly felt that the conclusions this computer drew from its observations were a bit wacky. Many great aireal shots and lots of air-to-air combat. I didn't really like the ending, but I won't spoil it for anyone who has not seen it. Overall I enjoyed it, but probably won't buy the DvD to add to my collection. |

Posted - Aug 24 2005 : 10:06:41 I saw it and regretted the money spent. This is one of those flicks that would be good on late-night HBO when you have nothing better to do, but the story and characters were not fully fleshed out in any particular. It moves fast.. a bit oo fast for my tastes.
The special effects were first rate, but again they moved by too fast and the suspension of disbelief called for just a tad too far a stretch to make any immersion into the flick possible. Example: Releasing a bomb externally from a plane going 2,000 mph is just waaayyy too far out there for me.
The basics were there for a very good story and movie, but the money men must have closed the purse strings and hurried production.
