Posted - Sep 08 2008 : 09:57:44 Crysis Warhead is coming out Sept 18/08 and it apparently has new multiplayer improvements over the original.
I think it's about $29 smackeroos (that one's for Batty)
Is anyone planning on picking it up? |

Posted - Oct 05 2008 : 19:08:18 Ended up getting. SP is worth the price of adminssion. I enjoyed parts of it more then the original.
Again, EA is really missing an opportunity here. This is the best engine out there. The new APC's they introduced in this game are awesome.
Haven't tried the mp yet. To bad the fubar'd that part of the game.

Updated drivers? Your kidding me. I thought SB gave up on their customers. |

The Crytec techs are saying that this one is optimized so that your frame rate should be better. Also the alian AI has been tuned so that it'll take cover and work in groups better than in the Crysis.
I'm interested in the multiplay aspect. It's supposed to be improved for the original game with new game modes as well. |

I'd say it will be released in October. They've released a view more beta keys to the public. |

I picked up the original Crysis and I must say, although the multiplay did not take off, the SP is a really good ride.
I was very impressed with it as well....er...until those alien things showed up.
I dare say it's one of the best gaming engines out there. Its full potential may not be appreciated for another couple years though when hardware finally catches up with it.
Even though you don't spend much time in tanks, you could see the potential the armor had. You really felt like you were in a tank battle.
Also liked the weapons and the vehicles in general.
Why I'm looking forward to MechWarrior mod. According to the MW site, seems like a hard engine to learn, but it's got a ton of potential. |

Posted - Sep 08 2008 : 14:07:13 Waiting for Spore to arrive. Been playing Dawn of War: Warhammer 40,000: Soul Storm by Relic. Will look at Crysis when the mod for Mech Warrior is done.
The best thing, I hear, about Crysis Warhead is that the game was made to be more playable on lower spec systems. |
