Has anybody heard of the hit indicator come on while your aiming at an enemy (or friendly for that mattor)? I'm not talking about after you shoot, and score a hit, but just AIMING your gun at them.
I was talking to a friend of mine, and he kept mention the aim indicator that he would get. I kept blowing it off as he was just talking about the hit indicator, and he didn't know what he was talking about. Then I started asking him questions about it, and explaing what the hit indicator was. He told me that no, on some of his weapons, PKM, and G368c (spec ops) when he would aim at a target, (enemy or frienly)the hit indicator comes on, and he shoots, and gets a kill (or several shots depending on health etc) but you get the idea.
Now I know your saying "yeah right" so did I, until I went to his house, and saw it with my own eyes. all he had to do is aim at the guy, (put him in his crosshairs) and the star came up. fire 3 times (PKM is a great weapon) and you have killed so and so... I nearly fell over laughing... When he does this, he has to wait for the red name to pop up, or he could just as easily kill friendlies, but that only takes a second or two to display.
So, has anybody else heard of this? And before you say cheat (most likely a glitch) it's not a cheat, he didn't add anything execpt the 1.03 patch. |

It only changes to an X when I hit the target, not before. What you are you running BP, a hack?

Posted - Oct 21 2005 : 13:11:58 Don't you see a yellow "X" replace the crosshair when you are hitting your targets? That is the only thing I can tell if my sniper rifle is hitting or not (other than a body flopping) |

Posted - Oct 21 2005 : 12:35:00 The only time I see anything like a red cross or blinking is when I'm on a tow or a missile. I'm running 800 x 600, down from 1200X700 and running all setting on med. Maybe I need to hike everything up and see if it makes a difference. |

I have also been in high grass and know there was an enemy in front of me but couldn't see him for the grass. If you move the sights back and forth the red tag will show when you get on him then just shoot. |

Posted - Oct 21 2005 : 01:53:40 wow, I have never seen it change before I shoot. only a notification AFTER I shoot (when I hit the person)
I'll have to look again. Would it be something not running on my system because of a poor video card? (ati rad 9800 pro)
Hmm. |
