There has been a new post today in the Official EA UK Forums regarding the newest Battlefield 2 patch. It seems many issues have been addressed and they are working hard to complete it. Here's what they had to say: We are currently working on the next Battlefield 2 update. We believe this update has some significant improvements that everyone will appreciate. We’ve seen the discussions on the forum and will do our best to address as many issues as possible, as soon as possible. Here is a quick run down of just some of the issues we have been working on. - Helicopter now carry 8 missiles rather than 14 - TV-Guided missile now have a shorter range - Hit points on all air vehicles has been reduced - AA missile lock has been improved - Support kits have had their primary weapons adjusted for accuracy - Sniper kits have had their primary weapons adjusted for accuracy - Anti-Tank kits have had their primary weapons adjusted for accuracy - "Dolphin Diving" is no longer possible - Players can no longer jump and shoot at the same time - "Prone Spamming" is now fixed - "Sprint exploit" is now fixed - The Sa80 weapon has been improved - The G3A3 weapon has been improved - Reload while sprinting has been enabled - Chinese and MEC APCs can now shoot through penetrable materials - Damage decreased for the M134 - Medic defibrillator paddles have been adjusted. They now reload while not in use.
We'll be announcing further additions to this list, but that will have to wait until the next update. This is NOT the complete list of items we are working on. As we have more items go through testing and we are sure of a change we will update you.
Nice to hear some of the hot debated issues are now being resolved and worked on. Stay tuned for more information on the v1.2 patch as well as for its release!

Posted - Dec 13 2005 : 18:01:34 Apparently, prone spamming is where you switch between standing and prone by mashing the prone button to avoid getting shot. The sprint exploit supposedly is that you can time jumping while sprinting so the sprint bar doesn't go down. I guess it is used mostly at the beginning of matches to get to flags and vehicles faster. I say just get another gig of RAM and be the first to spawn. |

Posted - Dec 13 2005 : 16:21:02 I believe that that dolphin diving is when you jump in the air and then go immediately to prone, repeating the process over and over while 1 shot killing people like Catheter and Grand Deade. I will try to look up the other stuff. As a newer chopper whore, I think the changes are fair to reduce the rockets and shorten the range of the TV. At Sharqi, you can hit the Mec chopper with a TV from the US pad. I think they actually have listened and are really fixing some of the more stupid parts of the game. Horray, no more bunny hopping killers. Now they can hop till the sun goes down, but they won't kill you. |

Also, what is the following:
quote:
- "Prone Spamming" is now fixed - "Sprint exploit" is now fixed
Cathy, I think the Bunny Hoppers can still jump, but they can't shot you while they are in the air. |
