I would love to let you guys vote, but BCOs will really come unglued if I dare do something wild like that. I have been brow beat for running EoD, so I put up the vote and it looks so far like it will be Dcon or Tellitubbies Revenge (my fake mod to see if people are even reading what I post).

I hear that. I find Sharp just by looking at the 3 EoD servers that have people on them. LOL. It is good playing with almost zero smacktards and a really good core group that plays EoD everyday.
Dcon is more populated, but most people seem to favor the larger DCF maps (DS, Gazala, El Al). It seems that it's a mod really for people that like planes and such.
I'm running a vote over at BCO right now about what (if anything) they want to run on the mod server. |

Too bad BF2 doesn't have the buddy list. With 2142 on a given evening we all join on whatever server the others are playing on, and once we have 6 or more, we go over and start the OMO server. Not sure how it is with DCon, but with EoD it isn't too hard to find your buddies by virtue of there only being a few servers going at any given time. |

Our guys run 2142 and I never got on board. Can't speak to our server setting as they all suck.

Anyways the DCon on BCO and EoD on OTH seems to make sence I do like both. I'll try and git the boyz over there. Again, I ain't around much these dayz though. I know you'll probably think about banning VSFS if we get on too regular though.

Hey Nosey, are you guys running a server? If so, what are you running?
My thinking is, we get a server per clan running something different (i.e. OTH runs EoD, OmO runs something and BCO runs Dcon). This way, at least a small group from each clan can go to one of these servers to play and at least hope there will be people there. It sounds like if we run Dcon at BCO, KJ and Burns will sit in the server with their sign that says "play here".
Serious, maybe a rotation thing. Dcon Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. EoD, Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday. Something else (PR, POE?) on Friday. You get the idea. |

now, that's just great.
Bloody had a comment in the vent channel
"playing on the Ninjaserve", and noone else
was around. i decide to do some file maintenance,
driver updates, hit it early and viola!
everyone has fun on our server! glad to hear it,
and if the Jazz weren't on the ropes i'd look
for y'all tonite.
i understand time is precious. i would rather watch
playoff basketball on tv than sit in an empty server.
but, what i've said before is i would sit in our empty
server to help it start, and play with friends than go
here and there 'for the action'. thats just me tho. |

Jeez I knew Bloody was a total loser!!! I hear ya though Bloody time is tight these days. I ain't got the sit around the comp time that I've had in recent years. I think EoD kicks @$$ not suck balls. Why do we have to talk about anatomy anyway? It's a good mod. I tried to talk up the DCon here too. It's tough getting anything start here at OMO. Sound like you guys the same "issues". I'd really like to try and play a night of each per week. I've got limited time these days with this new job so the weekend would be best. Try and get a night Bloody. btw I'm outta town this weekend :) |

Yeah.,.. I'm gonna go with burnzz here. Tonight, for the first time ever, we had a server that was running. Not to mention, for the first time ever, Bloody played on the server. 6 people isn't a lot, but it's been 6 more than we've ever had before except for when DCon was running on it.
I would play on it, but EoD sucks my ballz. Seriously, the guns are either hyper-acurate or totally off. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, one shoots to the right every time. True, it's nice that the sniper rifle gives the one-hitter-quitter, but not when you shoot people in the leg.
If it was DCon, there would be more people playing in the BF2 mods channel and on our server. IMO, we probably could have gotten a game going every night if it was DCon. Heck, we could have even gotten to the point where we would have to kick people to make room. Just remember this (and this is for everyone); full servers always started with one or two people sitting there waiting for people to come (technicaly, it's called starting up the server). How else did you think we (the OMOs, the BCOs, everyone) got the BF2 and 2142 servers so packed that we had to kick people for their buddies. And if I remember correctly, it was Keen, Lt., and I that usually would get on around 4pm PST to start up the BCO BF2 server.
I would say more, but I have been warned on our forums for stating the facts without pointing fingers. The truth hurts. |

Sharp and I usually are on late (11 - 12 pm EST). I only get about 1 hour a night usually, so it's hard for me to pin things down.
As for Burns, KJ gets on Vent and gives me (sometimes us if Sharp is around too) a hard time and makes us feel like we should be sitting in our empty server. Not me, I did it for years with BF2 and I will not waist the very little playing time I get now a days on sitting around. I want to play on servers with people, you know, a real game? |

i have no idea where every one is. like Cadaver says,
it takes a group to keep a server going, and our group
