Posted - Jan 04 2011 : 09:58:20 One of the best games/expansions imho. Like you said Spec, teamwork is everything. Even if it boils down to one guy hanging back and acting as a spawn point. I don't miss my red dot at all. |

Posted - Jan 03 2011 : 19:13:36 Wow! Another great night in vietnam. For 15bux you can't go worng. :) The only way to play well is to join a squad and as Sting says work togerher. It's pretty cool working tactics like diversion amd flanking the enemy. the only bad part abut it is when you are working by yourself or are in a squad of snipers when playing conquest. :( |

Posted - Dec 21 2010 : 13:30:50 As a recovering tank whore, I'm kinda of liking the infantry grind in Vietnam. I'm seeing a lot more team work in Vietnam because of the choke points and grind up the hills that you have to do. I know Deuce, Spam, and a few others tend to work much better as a team now. We tend to do a lot more leapfrogging trying to get by the hard points in the maps. A lot more rewarding when you succeed, which is at least 50% of the time.
To each their own I guess, but I'm having some of the best gaming experiences ever with the new BC2 maps and Vietnam. Harvest Day Rush is another good grind map, real intense battles. |

Posted - Dec 21 2010 : 11:21:57 I played a few rounds yesterday and found that the Phu Bai map is very good and what BF should be like. If they made all the maps like that one, it may be a winner. I know if I play again I will be playing on Phu Bai all the time servers. ;) |

Posted - Dec 21 2010 : 09:58:28 I'm with ya Bloody. I get nothing out of "all the time" infantry. At least with tanks, vehicles, helis, planes, gives you several options. Sorry, just get bored with continuous infantry. I'm still fraggin in BF2 almost daily on the BAD Company server and waiting for BF3. Also doing a little AIX. |

Posted - Dec 20 2010 : 10:03:23 I would say if your a big fan of BF BC2, then yeah it's a good buy. If your just so so on BF BC2 (like me) then it's most likely a $15 waist. I feel that BF BC2 has one thing going for it (well maybe 2) and that is vehicles. Along with vehicles is bigger maps than the much better pure shooters out there like CoD and MoH. The 4 maps in Nam that I have played (or tried to play) seem to be loaded with lots of infantry and very little vehicle warfare. 1 of the 4 maps actually has a good amount of armor, choppers, etc (Phu Bai?) and seems to be the most interesting map. The rest are just heavy jungle infantry work.
Only listen to me if your a fence sitter on BF BC2, cause I think those that love the game will get a lot out of the expansion. I just feel that the game is very sloppy in terms of hit boxes, weapons, etc. If I'm gonna play a shooter, I feel that CoD BO is light years ahead in terms of feel and accurate hit boxes. Like I said, vehicles are the main reason to play anything in the BF franchise and I feel like the game is sorely missing that element (and more so in the expansion).

Posted - Dec 19 2010 : 16:07:18 We have 2 servers up and running. (Shameless plug again...) All Lazy Bastards can be used to find them.
It's a good change, and the maps are very "lush", so there are lots of hiding spots.
I don't know if it's because I'm just getting used to the unknown maps, but you die A LOT if you try to run and gun. Moving in groups, taking some time seems to be the way to go with this.
Biggest problem is that 2 of the 4 maps seem to have really tight choke points that can make to map very frustrating to play if you end up on the wrong side.
