Social security has been used as a secret bank account for the Republicans and Democrats for decades now,(30 yrs to be exact) cause it does not show up in the fed defiset (sorry for spelling error) so lets at least be honest about how SS is used. Just do some homework. |

I do not have a problem with Social Security. It has the potential to be great. The problem with it has been that it has been used by Democrats for generations as a payoff for elderly votes tool (by giving far greater than inflation increases for decades). So that it is now a monster that is bankrupting us and cannot be controlled.
That is the problem with giving government power. It is corrupt and cannot be trusted to manage anything correctly. Especially if it is something that can be used to buy votes/support with in some manner. Government is a necessary evil that must be limited to its minimum required role of defense, infrastructure, and rule writing (regulation - but not participation) of major activities in the economy (banking, finance, child labor, environmental protection, etc.). |

It is a plan. There is a Bill that was written by Nancy Pelosi and company that will become law in exactly the way it is currently written and proposed except for the changes we can convince them to make to save their political lives.
It is so far left that the only way to get a proper health care reform that middle to right of center Americans can stomach would be to drive a stake through its 1000 plus page heart and start over.
Don't think it is all just talk right now. This is a document that could be passed and on Obama's desk tomorrow if the Left thought they could get away with it. And they nearly suckered all of us because of Obama's demand it be passed before the August recess. Just like they suckered us on the stimulus bill. |

Page 22: Mandates audits of all employers that self-insure.
Page 29: First reference to rationing
Page 30: The Health Benefits Advisory Committee will be created to monitor and recommend health care treatments and benefits
Page 50: All non-US citizens, illegal or not, will be provided with health insurance.
Page 58: Every person will be issued a National ID Healthcard and the government is granted REAL TIME access to YOUR FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
Page 72: All private healthcare plans must conform to government rules to participate in a Healthcare Exchange
Page 84: All private healthcare plans must participate in the Healthcare Exchange
Page 124: No company can sue the government for price-fixing. No "judicial review" is permitted against the government monopoly.
Page 149: Any employer with a payroll of $400K or more, who does not offer health insurance, pays an 8% tax on payrol
Page 150: Any employer with a payroll of $250K-400K or more, who does not offer health insurance, pays a 2 to 6% tax on payroll
Page 167: Any individual who doesn’t' have acceptable health insurance (according to the government) will be taxed 2.5% of income.
Page 170: Any NON-RESIDENT alien is exempt from individual taxes
Page 195: Officers and employees of Government Healthcare Bureaucracy will have access to ALL American financial and personal records.
Page 239: Bill will reduce physician services for Medicaid. Seniors and the poor most affected
Page 265: Government mandates and controls productivity for private healthcare industries.
Page 268: Government regulates rental and purchase of power-driven wheelchairs.
Page 270: Requires that Ambulatory Surgical Centers submit cost data to the Secretary of Health and Humans Services for "analysis".
Page 280: Hospitals will be penalized for what the government deems preventable re-admissions.
Page 318: Prohibition on hospital expansion. Hospitals cannot expand without government approval.
Page 335: Government mandates establishment of outcome-based measures, cost effectiveness which eventually means rationing
Page 341: Government has authority to disqualify Medicare Advantage Plans, HMOs, etc
Page 354: Government will restrict enrollment of SPECIAL NEEDS individuals.
Page 379: Creation of the Telehealth Advisory Committee
Page 425: Government provides approved list of end-of-life resources,
Page 427: Government mandates program that orders end-of-life treatment
Page 429: Advance Care Planning Consult will be used to dictate treatment as patient's health deteriorates.
Page 430: Government will decide what level of treatments you may have at end-of-life.
Page 489: Government will cover marriage and family therapy.
Page 494: Government will cover mental health services: defining, creating and rationing those services.
As far as Social Security goes, it's got to be the worst Govt program out there. It won't even be around by the time I'm suppose to draw on it. I'd rather have all the money "I" put into it over the years and make my own choice on how to invest it. At least I know the money I put into my 401K will be there for me or my kids if I kick the bucket early. |

Wonder if the illegals fleeing a socialist government will understand that socialisim is chasing them into this country? Hopefully they will reject it. This is the only place where escaping it is possible. I listen to The Patriot Channel on Sirius every day and hear more and more legal immigrants and blacks calling in to voice their voter remorse. The current administration is going to fail overall. I just hope its sooner than later. |

Lies and deceipt is the name of the game in this White House.
406,000 Americans died in WW2. 33,741 in Korea. 58,000 in Vietnam.
All of them died fighting some form of socialistic government. From Nazi Facism to Soviet Communism and everything in between.
It is going to take a lot more than this bunch of yahoos to turn this into a socialist country. People are getting pissed at the lies when there is so much evidence showing the true intentions of the wacko left. The Democrats are going to get pounded in the next two elections. Of course, Obama knows that if he can legalize 26 million illegals next year, he could pull off a coup. The health care fight is just the beginning of the war to fight off Chavez and Castro being guests at the White House in a few years. |
