Time to take a break from health care a bit and look at Government waste. I'm sure most of you have seen the tax payer supported ACORN tapes that give the two under cover journalist "tax advice" on how to skirt their taxes. for those that haven't here is the best link I've seen on it if not the funniest from no other than John Stewart of the Daily show.

ACORN was set to gain billions of taxpayer dollars in stimulus money, but congress decided after these tapes were released to refrain from using them in the census and further funding, all because of two amature journalist. Where was the main stream media on this???

I got a refi on my house through the Govt and they asked me what my race was, wtf does that have to do with anything? Good thing I told the the the truth because they required a copy of our drivers license.

My neighbor applied for a grant and got it. It was for a single black woman, expecting with no income. My neighbor is a white male and got his college paid for the last year with that. And they knew he was a white male. No one else applied and he did just kidding around and they gave it to him.

Yeah, they already do that. It is called the Fastfa Application. It regulates what loans you can apply for, and what grants you qualified for.

It nearly f**ked me over at DeVry. At the time, i was 23 and living with my parents, disqualifying me from being an "adult Independent", so that's half of the loans and nearly all the grants that I can get. Then, on top of that, I'm white, male, come from a middle-class neighborhood, who's family made over 60k the previous year, family owns a home, paid their taxes over the last 5 years, family has good credit, and practices good money management.

Out of the THOUSANDS of oppourtunities that are open to most people, I had two: a un-subsidized 2.5k loan that could be twice per year, and private loans.

Not DeVry's fault. Not the loan company's fauly. The Government put the program in place to decide who deserves the money. I can understand part of it, like the over 60k part, but some of these programs are worded exactly so that it gives students whose families don't pay taxes, don't have good credit, a chance to take money out of my grasp, despite that I can prove that I'll use it in good faith.... Come on.

The bill last week that made it impossible to get a college loan unless you go thru the gov't also included a little addition by the Republics to de-fund Acorn. The bill almost past unanimously. However, the parlor trick is when the bill goes to the Senate, the "de-fund Acorn" portion will be dropped and the vote will only be on the gov't taking over the school load programs....

They'll publicly defund them but in private they'll get them the funds somehow, Acorn is too big a part of the democrat support group to toss them under the bus.

I told my wife before the election that my greatest fear of having Obama as pres. was the idea that "Chicago Politics" would be the order of the day. The entire thing is looking more and more like the good old corrupt "Chicago Politics" that formed much of Obamas past. Acorn and their involvement in his campaign, his 40 or more Czars that have unconstitutional powers and, as we have seen already, are made up of "un knowns". Already, only months into his first term, Obama is making a mockery of the office and seems to want to do things his way, even if that means it's un American, un constitutional, and just not right.

My question is, who is looking into election results now? Acorn was on the radar before the elections for the huge number of employees that were fired and later indited on election fraud charges that came from their voter registration drives. To be honest, not really sure this last election wasn't "Chicago Style" too.

5th tape out tonight has an Acorn rep discussing the best way to move underage girls into the U.S. for prostitution.

Where is the Justice Department at on this? It looks to me like multiple crimes may have been committed on these tapes.
