It seems funny to me how both sides claim that science is proving their points. HAHAHAHAHA

With both sides providing compelling evidence, I think it boils down to what would be worse. Ignoring it, or doing something about it. What are the consequences to both actions?

Why do people assume that Global-Warming-is-Man’s-Fault is true (majority cause vs. minority cause)? Given the evidence that the greatest source of warmth on this planet is the sun and that the sun is heating up, you have to wonder how much hoopla over Global Warming is warranted at all. Do we have an impact? Yes. Do we have such an impact that if our influence were gone, the world would be fine? I say No: we do not yet know enough and there are too many interests at stake to make a hurried decision.

There is a lot to consider with regards to the impact of curtailing would have on Culture and Communications. Internet? Electronic Gaming? Your Pay Check? Would the Socio-economic impact of 'doing something' be worse than any 'consequence' of Global Warming in general? Certainly. Al Gore et al would have the mass majority of people go into a technological Dark Age which would mean only a privileged few would have ‘modern’ comforts – after all, look at Gore, certainly not a man who leads by example. Our energy needs today revolve around petrol and electricity. With the exception of plastics, electricity can completely substitute for petrol. Nuclear Power can readily replace power plants and is far safer today than 30 years ago and battery powered cars would be very feasible. The main hurdles to that are: waste disposal (more of an issue with batteries than with nuclear fuel by simple volume), rapid production and distribution of newer vehicles and components to replace current cars running off of petrol, and the feasibility of having a rapid replace/recharge station set-up for cars traveling more than the current 300+ mile range.
Personally, I like Hydrogen Fuel Cells more than Batteries where the storage of electricity is concerned. They would, in the end, be far more friendly to the environment. Their drawback, however, is the compressed nature of Hydrogen and it’s flammability. Imagine a car accident and the cell being punctured.

My belief is this: Man has a responsibility to take care of his fellow man and the world he lives in. Aside from it being a divine mandate (God’s command to Adam in Eden and the second summation of the law and prophets: Love your neighbor as yourself) it is the best way to ensure your progeny has something to live with. I bought re-usable bags for groceries decades before they were pushed by GW fears. I always sought out more efficient vehicles and technology – even as a teenager. I am not a “Green”, nor a Vegetarian, nor an environmentalist. I am simply searching for the best way I can be efficient and not waste. I think leaders would do better to practice what they propose to push than try to strong-arm the populace to do what is right. Ideas are powerful, but people will smell and reject such base strong-arm attempts that the like of Gore and the Global Warming lobby push for. Better to convince people to change by appealing to them than harassing them.

Wanna be green, stop NASCAR, F1 and all the other racing sports from wasting my fuel. Big money doesn't give a hoot about the planet! They just want you to feel guilty so you don;t think about them.

Ah come on BP. lol

Sounds like my wife. "Wanna be green, stop NASCAR, F1 and all the other racing sports from wasting my fuel."

I run a 1981 Porsche 911 race car out at our local track here and when we go to big races, my wife says something similar to that every time. I laugh cause the bigger issue is the 50,000 people that all drive their own cars to the track to watch the race. lol Serious, there has to be 40,000 cars out there for a crowd of 50,000? Really?

My race car gets only 11-12 mpg on the track, but I dare say that half the idiots that show up to watch are driving (by themselves) big ass SUV's and trucks that get almost the same mpg. lol

Nose, Number one, I am not a freak. You may think I am but I am not. You may laugh at the WORD OF GOD but I will not. You can bust hell wide open if you want but I can't buy my way into hell if I had all Gates money.

You have your head so far up obamas butt you can't see the bull he is spreading. He will increase taxes more than we have ever seen. He will cut the military and defense. He has less political experience than anyone that is on either ticket. He is a idiot and most are figureing that out.

You tell me what he has done. NOTHING. He talks a good show between the stutering and with a teleprompter. He is simply a man that hates America and would love to see it change to a socilist communist country and all whites dead.

You must be the offspring of the flower children that hope to find utopia. Well there is no Utopia and the world is hard and someone has to take the stand that countries will not just walk over other countries. That is us. Be scared if you want but it is our job to help protect those that can not.

Your belief in the global warming is foolish as scientest have proven that over the next 10 years we are going into a cooling. That was on one of the channels. Watch the film that Gore made that gave him the Nobel Piece award. He had to state that about half of the film was fiction and not true. He has become a god to you people with this BS. How can you be so blind. THERE IS NO PROOF THE GLOBAL WARMING. Scientist even admit that if they say the truth it will cut out their funding and they would be broke.

And you call us freaks. Well here is my LMAO so you don't get upset.

I believe that this should be settled with a good BCO vs OMO Scrim. We haven't had one of those in some time.

It is alright for some to post harsh things but when someone posts back on them the other person has to stand corrected. Not good
