Here is what I did to make the backup process easy. It may help prevent stats losses in the future.
1) Go to your desktop and right click, select new text document and then open it.
2) Paste the below (black box at bottom without the " at the top) in the text document and edit where needed on lines 3 and 6 to reflect the exact drive and area where your profile is to be backed up to and where the original is.
line 3 set drive=C:\Program Files\Activision\BackupWAW The default will put your backup in a folder called BackupWAW in the Activision folder. If you want it on the desk top, just change the location. (example set drive=C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\BackupWAW)
line 6 %backupcmd% "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Activision\CoDWaW" "%drive%\%folder%" Line 6 is the spot where the profile info is being stored for COD WaW on Windows XP. Not sure of the exact location for Vista, but it would most likely be in a similar spot. If you need to edit for Vista, then simply find the location and copy and paste the location to replace C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Activision\CoDWaW
Vista (I believe, but can't confirm) ;) C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW
3) After editing anything you need to, simply go to File and Save As. Save as CODWAWbackup.bat
4) To run, simply click on the CODWAWbackup.bat file on your desktop. It will place the backup in the location found on line 3.
quote: @echo off :: variables set drive=C:\Program Files\Activision\BackupWAW set backupcmd=xcopy /E /I /Y /D echo ### Backing up CODWaW Stats and profiles... %backupcmd% "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Activision\CoDWaW" "%drive%\%folder%" echo Backup Complete! @pause
