Gotta love the Half Life series. Probably one of the greatest stories that I've ever heard. I can't wait till Episode 3 comes out.

i agree DB. DooM was THE original.
Half Life got me huked on 3-D gaming, story-based gaming, and mods.
even before DC for BF42 . . .

Yeah, Was Doom for me too. On a Packard Bell 486 no less. I remember cause my dad set it up to be dos 6.0 with some sort of GUI and from there you could launch windows 3.11 for workgroups.

Yep, It was Doom, then Descent, then Descent 2. the next real big game was when I was selling fireworks in Washington (2002). I got the honor of beta testing the original version of Steam for a few days, in which I got to play Half Life. And I've been a Valve junkie ever since.
