Would you pay 5 grand for free electricity?
I'm no greenie save the earth or any of that nonsense but where they get me is how I could get off the power grid and save some big bucks.

Check this out and tell me if you think it's BS.

A few years ago there was a company in Fort Worth that had a similiar project. They solicited 50 bucks which was used for development and the most important getting liscenses and permits...Once that was done you were suppose to be in line to get one of these self-generators for around 3 grand. And, when your electric bill is about 700 a month like mine is, it's pretty cheap.
At the end of the day, they couldn't get it permitted and was bought out by a major electricity supplier. So, there is something to the "keep em on the hook" theories floating around there..

My neighbor has one of those smaller windmill type generators..he paid 45 grand to put it in. Damn thing is broke down half the time.

WOW....what a great Idea. Fossil go ahead and get one and if it's paid for itself and still making 4 to 5 times more power than it consumes after 5 years [and still meets all it's claims] I will buy one from you at twice the cost you paid for it.

Always take your Med's

700 bucks a month?? shut the doors and windows! I'm anywhere from 80 to 300 hundred. If I lived in the country I'd get a windmill/solar panel system going. We got quite a few wind farms around here because the wind almost never stops blowing!

Hey, I've got a perpetual motion machine I'd like to sell somebody. It has magnets, and wires, and doohickeys, and a potato peeler.

"The (Democratic) Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power. Not wealth or luxury or long life or happiness: only power, pure power. ... We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means, it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now do you begin to understand me?" --George Orwell, "1984" - And if you have not figured that out by now with Obama in office, there is no hope.

Sounds like Tehachapi, where I was living before I sold my soul to the IRS and decided to take you cash.

Personally, I think the best way for us to get cheap energy apart from Fossil fuels is Nuclear power. Wind is ok if you live in areas where you have reliable wind just as water driven generators are if you live near water. Solar is a great way to drop your power bill, especially if they take some of the newer lab experiments out to market like the method of converting excess solar electricity into hydrogen within the solar panlel for storage then converting it back when it is dark and more electricity is needed.

But to be honest, if you believe in man made global warming, you might as well believe in Geo-centricity.
