I'm still on most nights of the week late and CoX's my only MMO. I'm on Virtue a lot but I have a full complement on Champion and still play my LSH hero, Matter Disruptor Lad on occasion. I've played with Safe Harbor members in the past and I think I still have one on my Global list. Look me up if you're looking to team.

Heya, glad to see you still on. I still play, but not with the frequency I used to. I am mainly working up a villain on Virtue... odd sound to that.

Soon to come to City of Heroes/Villains is the Invention system. This looks quite promising as it will allow for 'crafting' of enhancements, costume pieces, and temporary powers. It also appears that there will be an Auction system installed along with it (the new Wentworth's buildings).
If any of you former CoH players want to give it a whirl after dropping it for WoW (I know some of you like to extend your play with crafting things) then give it a try then. Also, for you pet fantatics, Masterminds on the villain side should be your natural choice.

I've restarted my City of Heroes game. Is anyone playing? It still looks like we have our Super Group HQ as I went to it with RadiationNation (pretty sure it was him).

It is a free to play. I don't know if there are any limits to the free part (e.g. premium content) or just have to buy powers and upgrade stuff. I did see that most of the new constume stuff was had to be paid for even with my premium account.

Yes, free to play. They went with the Free model with purchased perks. Could not stand the absurd stances of the females in DC Universe. Plus it was Sony Online... Though, it did have some fun aspects to it.

DC is a action game and CoH is more of a standard mmo. DC is a little hard to play with a mouse keyboard setup depending on the powers you want. I have not tried it since it went free to play but is was ok when I did play it.
I logged on a few weeks ago to try the free to play setup for CoH and was impressed. What they are charging for is the kinds of things they where charging extra for when it was subs and vet rewards. The vet reward system was expanded and put into a complicated system of points that adds a lot of extra stuff like temp powers and fancy insperations, xp bonuses and things like that. As far as I could tell I had everything I had before canceled including the extra content I had paid extra for.
I highly recommend CoH as a free to play game for both vets who had played before and players new to the game or even new to mmo. You get almost everything that was available under the subs system for free and only pay for the extras that you want. That is a insane amount of content in one of the best designed mmo of all time with no limitations that make the game unplayable. You can go from 1 to 50 enjoying years of content and not pay a dime.
