Played a game with Bluehair tonight and had my first victory where I actually contributed. Of course Bluehair did all the finesse work and I simply came in with caps and helped clean up, but still it felt good. Caps seems to be my specialty,
Now I am concentrating on learning the finesse game. I expect to loose a bit until I get the hang of it, but hey you learn from your mistakes.
Thanks Blue

Good on ya Gort.
Usually when we play, each guy takes a "job" and as a whole we kick some butt.
So find what works for you and then learn to mesh with the other fellas.

I think he means I use all the artsy-fartsy stuff like sensor distorts, cloaks, repair collectors and DFFs to keep my smaller fleet alive Aged. :)
I don't think we killed a single enemy collector until the game was decided. I killed modules with constant bomber strikes, and then brought in the flanking cloaked frig fleet. By keeping the enemy pair on their side of the map chewing on me and chasing me, I allowed Gort to tech up and build in peace.
The enemy was able to mount two flanking strike craft attacks against our resource ops, but it didn't mean much in the end.
Total SY cap mods killed - 5+ (can't remember there were sooo many)
Total research(advanced included) modules killed - 4+
Total modules of other types - 5+
You just can't do much with all that RU if you have no modules.

Yep, my first OMO victory in HW2 was sweet even though the my team mates carried me most the way! It gets a little intense at times but its always a rush. With some more practice I should be able to hold my own and have more lop sided victories.
