Pacemaker's Corvette

Unzip it into your /series/pta/cars/ folder

... and as for that picture you wanted.

Sorry, for the loss of the front airdam. The mod does that in replays for some reason. It's a known issue.

That was much easier with the car viewer for NR2002. It was what thye used to call a "fake render". The car viewer that's out for NR2003 isn't as good for making those kind of pictures. I could ask somebody at one of the boards if they'd do a render of it. I've been kind of wanting a render of two of my own, actually.

You downloaded a 53.5 Mb mod?!?!?

And here, I've been starting to think this was just about the picture. I didn't figure you'd even be able to race it yet.

BTW, I've put in a request to have the picture made...

Where u racing Pacy...raced until 1am cst last night, never saw you. And on the same subject oh Setup Guru dude, can you give me a descent setup for Datona? I've messed around with the little knowledge I have and still can't run with the big dogs. Though, last night I did get into a 5 car race and pulled out a 2nd. Any help would be nice.

Heartburn get rid of that noise when you put the pointer on your SIG. Darn thing has had my comp in the shop for a week one time thinking that it was going bad. I thought I was breathing in the headset and makeing it until i got the headset unhooked.

Aged, I have no problems controlling it. The setting I have now I can wind up to about 180-181 in the straight and coming off the final turn to the flag. Problem is I just don't have the horsepower to keep up with the pack. Occasionally I can depending on the server but most of the time I run right behind the pack and slowly over 4-6 laps I get left behind. It's not my driving either because I've become very good at that part especially pacing behind another. Just can't run with them even drafting.

Oops, typo

It'll work now. Sorry.

Heartburn, most likely you either don't have enough gear or too much spring in the front.

This setup is pretty good. If it still can't keep up, add some more gear to it. I've got about 5 different versions of it depending on how much gear I need.

Save it to your /players/whatever-name-you're-using/setups/daytona/ folder.

You might want to save it to your /daytona night/ folder too.

Thanks David,
I ran a 5 lap test run with the 4 setups below. The one for Pacey is one I pulled of the website under settings, though I know it was an older version and I couldn't make some of the changes he suggested. The Jasper Low is one I have played with mainly with lower gears, etc. Drive this one most of the time. FastLow, is just another attempt at getting a faster speed with a different setup. Not much luck there. Of course, the setup you gave me is much faster and very easy to handle.
After the test I went online and joined a race with 15 others. Ran 48.389 in qualifying and ended up in 9th over all. The top 7 were in the low to middle 47.000's. What else can I do to get to that speed? Any suggestions?

Pacey Aged JasperLow *FastLow
49.480 48.819 49.195 49.369
49.214 48.534 49.128 49.381

49.231 48.545 49.149 49.346
