Very nice.

I hope he asked before doing that. Otherwise he could get in trouble.

No, scratch that, I have it backwards. No, I meant reversed. It just gets so confusing.

Well, I started the development at 7:00 AM on November 13th. I stopped after a few hours, wondering if this was a good idea or if a number of OMO's would want HUGE changes.... After the short rethink, I decided to add a games section where individual who want to create a page for the games they play can be developed and put into the site so EVERYONE's game can be properly represented... assuming they put in the 10 to 15 minute effort to develope the basis game info and enter it into Front Page... If you don't know Front Page, there are lots of people who do..

This should solve previous issues where individuals might have felt that their games were not properly represented and they had trouble attracting new members to the game....

Continuing on, I had some issues with the original "Flash Front End" and the Flash on each of the page headers...

Finally about 7:00 PM, I finished Release .9 of the site and uploaded it to Ginko's site who is temporarly hosting this version of OLDMENONLINE.COM. THANKS GINK....

About 10:00 PM I completed the final small modifications to make our new web site release 1.0, assuming no one has any major problems with the site.

The next issue is for individuals to look at the "Basic" outline at the bottom of the Games page and start developing the web pages for current, past and games we are considering. As they are developed I will add them to the main page.... so if you want your game publisized... get busy... or at least send me the pictures and text.

I hope everyone likes what I have started, I thought it was time to move OMO into the 21st century and re-energize peoples interest in the club.... your ongoing help and support is appreciated.

Thanks Smelly

Looks damn good Smelly.

There are a few minor edits that need to be done but overall it is
FRICKIN AWESOME

Let me know if and or when you want to migrate it to the webserver and replace the existing.

A couple of questions. Can I get a copy to play with? Is there a reason the you chose 800x600 instead of 1024x768? Would it be alright to get rid of the black background frame and just have the cool content and it's boarders. I think it is just some html code that will do that. If I can get a copy I'll put a modded version on the devsite to see what it looks like.

This is damn exciting!

Well Arcane.... After 15 hours my job is done... I'm past my technical and design expertise and ready to turn it over to ANYONE who want to polish it and upload it to the real connection... Assuming people want it... I have been working since 7:00 AM this morning...

Just PM me where you want me to upload everything... ( I will FTP it, it's kind of big right now) We need to set some guidelines on building new game pages... I just built the Half Life 2 pages and just used HUGE Jpegs and they are beautiful, but take a long time to load.... Someone will need to clean up the organization of the site, ie folders for Game HTM's to make sure we do not over write other jpegs and so on... but... it's a start..

Smelly, the red text on the main page....could you change the red or the shaddow. While I can read it, it could be a little clearer for these eyes.

To add games to the games we play page are you looking for members to submit the description text and picture links to you so you can create the page??? I'm thinking some of us OMO's could write a php script to create a page from the web with a login for security. How about some of you admin types create a forum to chat about this portal and its posibilities in the members only section. Festus, I would personally like for you to be part of this. You need to put your tag back on though.

Peace

Yeah, that would be nice.

Great opportunity for you guys to house clean and make some long delayed and much needed changes too. There's even the links there to do stuff like that. Of course if someone tried that we all know what would happen.

Hitler would be joined by some other dictator. Marcos? Mussolini? Franco? Or maybe it would just be some other nazi...

Since it seems to be more usere friendly and member "updateable" I guess would be the phrase...Can we incorperate the calendar the same way...I had real trouble trying to list our scrimmage on the one we have, and finally gave up..
