Hey all,

Just introducing myself and looking for other OMO on CoH Champion server. Petrified has guided me into this gaggle of geezers and I'm always happy to team up with more mature gamers so look me up when you're on.

Rick Swenson - Level 18 Martial Arts/ Super Reflexes Natural Scrapper

Please PM me with your character roster when convenient so I can keep an eye out for you.

Thanks and looking forward to teaming up with you sometime.

Good to see you, Rick. Welcome to our little piece of the web.

"The (Democratic) Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power. Not wealth or luxury or long life or happiness: only power, pure power. ... We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means, it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now do you begin to understand me?" --George Orwell, "1984" - And if you have not figured that out by now with Obama in office, there is no hope.

Okay,

Now that I have my account set up at home and am on CoH with more regularity (ahhh, regularity ) I am working on a cool new SuperGroup with some local gamer friends of mine (Sorry, OMO. I still love ya ).

So if you have a concept for a new Superpatriot character on Champion, the call goes out for you to join Liberty Squadron! We stand for Freedom, Justice, and star spangled uniforms!

Look out for Capt. Valor, Justice Blaze or FREEDOMS SHIELD for recruitment.

See you in the City of Heroes.

Blaze of Justice!

Task Force Request --

Hello, any of you OMO out there on Champion.

I am trying to put together a team to do Sister Psyche's Task Force over the course of many nights (as long as it takes) between 12 AM and 6 AM EST. The time specifics are because that is when I have time and access to play my main character. I don't care if anybody works on the Task Force when I'm not on. I just want to be there to finish it so I can get the badge.

Send me a PM to respond or send a tell or email to Rick Swenson on COH. Thank you for your consideration and I hope to see you in Paragon!

Hey!, I have a character called Ressev who is a DM/Regen Scrapper. He is only level 21, but I believe that is the right level range for the Sister Psyche's TF. I'll log on tonight and send you a tell. Maybe work up to level 22 in case that is the bottom (I believe it is 21, but my memory is fuzzy sometimes) but also because I need some SOs for for his attacks.

By the way, just recalled: you can pick up 'bodies' to start the Task Force, but so long as you have about 2 serious dmage dealers and either inherent damage mitigation or a third to do damage mitigation, you can complete the TF with only 3 people. It will be easier (plus faster) than with the full 5 required to start it. Just Broadcast that you want some warm bodies to help you start the TF and that they can drop from it once you and those doing it start it.

Damn Petrified, thanks for the quick response!

I'll look out for Ressev tonight. Thanks. And I think we'll have enough proper warm bodies to do the Task Force with. Even though it takes a little longer, I'm counting on some of my Synapse TF buddies and regular teammates to jump in. If not, I like the 3-man whomp-'em idea.

See you on Champion!

See ya there.

By the way, it appears that, for now at least, OMO interest in CoH has waned in favor of WoW. Those who have been playing CoH (Back Pain, Fossil, Bugger, and myself) pretty much have put it on the back burner at least until City of Villains appears (or the Beta). I still will be playing but not with the frequency as I had before. The rest most likely will not be playing at all for some time.

Why WoW? Well, everybody else in the OMO who did not pick up CoH as an MMORPG picked up WoW. Since that has the largest OMO showing, it made sense to be active there and playing with my fellows than soloing or doing pick-up groups all the time. Dropping the OMO Super Group also does not make a lot of sense, at least yet, since some of the others may come back when CoV comes out.

Anyways, love the opportunity to use Touch of Fear on those nasty Freaks.

Hey punk, I had fun playing with capt virtue the other night, You might want to tell him that if he has emp as a primary he might want to heal the damage dealers every once in while and get out of blast mode =) J/K. I don't know if he knew that my energy blaster was more powerful than his emp blaster but i guess he'll learn the hard way like I did.

I might be on from time to time but right now I got WoW and liking it so far.

Wow is different. Nice not to have to worry about failing when crafting, but it's VERY annoying not having Super Jump or flight. I know I can't really get back into NWN now that I have played WoW: it is not satisfying anymore and crafting stinks when it is modeled after EQ.

Still in the 30 day period till I know if I am willing to keep WoW installed along with CoH.

Task Force finished!

Well, it took me two weeks and another level to get the Task Force together for Sister Psyche, but my team (of 8) and I finished it up in just over 6 hours.

It's too bad I couldn't get it going before all of you switched loyalties to WoW. I would have liked to have done it with some experienced OMO members (Sorry, Petrified ).

Anyway, just checking in to let you all know that I AM still playing CoH. Rick Swenson is now almost 28th level and I'm thinking of doing the Respec mission. I've still got the free Respec from the Issue 3 patch - which I haven't used since Rick is already perfect - but I might do it just to get the badge . Plus, my roommate needs to do it.

So look me up on Champion if and when you're on. I'd love to get to team with you guys and I *might* be looking for a new SuperGroup.

lol

Actually, have not really dropped CoH. I have another character called CatMan who is a level 31 empath on Champion. Ressev is still 23...so he is a ways behind you now. Anyways, he can help you with the Respec trial (and to think he was the same one I tested the respecs when they first became available!).

Issue 4 will pretty much decide the fate of CoH for the rest of the OMO who still keep an account on it. Who knows, *I* may be looking for a new supergroup after a couple of months.

Hey folks,

I'm looking to enter Bastion's Task Force tomorrow starting some time after noon and until about 6 P.M.

Send me a tell or email if you'll be on and are interested. I would also love to hear some pointers from anyone who has done it already.

I am now Bastion's Assistant!

...which is much better than being his ass-monkey. All he ever asked of me after that was to bring the cure to the Unity Plague over to Sister Psyche in Independence Port.

We completed Bastion's Task Force yesterday in a short 5 hours thanks to me and my new Nemesis Staff. Sorry I couldn't link up with any OMO for it, but I'd like to thank Petrified and Pacemaker for their sends. Maybe we can get together for something else in the near future.

My global chat handle is CaptainValor (I don't think there's a space. My roommate set it up). Look for me on Champion.
