When my previous name was dirtbikemike I obtained the status of Private First Class in about 1 1/2 - 2 hours of play. Since recieving the honored Dirtbag-OMO status from our Club and changing my name, I have played well over 5 hours and still have a private status. Here is the strange thing. After playing for about 2 hours with my new name, The bells went off and and the screen said I had been promoted to Private First class. WOW great I'm getting back to where I was, Right! NOPE, my stats never changed. I can't figure out what happened. I know I'm not the best at this game but GEEEEEZ Whats up? Anyone have a clue what happened?
I had a similiar problem when I converted from Kutta to CombOver-OMO.
I almost always play commander. I found that I had more than enough points for a promo, however it did not come until I did not play as commander and I killed somebody, then I got my promo.
Funny, In my Stats page on BF2 tracker I put my mouse over the yellow Bar in next rank and it shows 589 points out of 500 needed. HMMM that tells me I was overlooked with a promotion. WELLLLLLL. I'm going to ask for a raise in pay now too!
As I understand from reading other forums the stats don't update if the round is interrupted for any reason or if you play less than 5 minutes in a round. Can't even think of a reason for showing more points than needed. Off topic I sure do enjoy playing on the OMO server.
