Ok: I've got online to the OMO server...
I'm not the best, but not the liverwurst either.
You guys are talking about teamspeak here. Is that teamspeak 2?
Also what's a good joystick to buy for this game.
Saitek stuff any good? I just found out I don't have a game port! I take it USB is the way to go.
BTW My name in BF2 is Salt947
cheers,

Yea, i've never used teamspeak to speak with the OMO guys but, i've used it with my Homeworld clanmates on the different servers we play, including OMO. I think Teamspeak2 is all that's used at this point.
As far as joysticks go, BF2 is not really a flight sim so pretty much any joystick will work. I have a Saitek X45 I use for IL2 and such and find it a bit of overkill for BF2. I would tend to think a cheap but quality joystick would be all you need for this game.

Hey Salty, Had fun Gunning with ya last night. You ran me over one time, I need to get the hell away from the vehicles when I exit. My fault! And as far as the Joy stick thing goes. I use the keybord and mouse. I could never get used to the stick. Not that I'm any kind of ace with the board and mouse but I still find it easier. Hey Catheter your a great pilot, What do you use?

Dirtbag you must have me confused with someone else. I've never been called great concerning anything with BF2 except a good target. Anyway, I can get around some and I use an old MS Sidewinder Precision Pro. It's adaquit but doesn't seem sensitive enough to me. I'm not a great pilot but I will be, if I can figure the hover thing out. Everytime I cut back on the throttle to hover over something the helo gets unstable and starts tilting from side to side or going backwards which sucks, since they don't put rear view mirrors in them.

I like my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. Has twist handle for rudder control. Solid, uses USB, and can be had at Wal-mart for cheap.

Ok Thanks:
The teampeak 2 works good. I'll have to play with the volumes to reduce background noise from my speakers.
I'll see if the Future Shop here has your suggestions.
cheers,

They don't call Catheter the 'BLOODY RED BARON' for nothing y'know. When he's in the skies, you better get on the ground quickly and take cover.
And thats when you're on the same side!

I think I shot you down a few times the other night in pre game play. You got so scared you upgraded to a jet. Now how can a helo compete against a jet?
