Gee, go on vacation for a week and everything changes. As Dirtbag asked, what might be the IP for this ventrillo server?

Quick questions on ventrilo...
Is there any in game separation of the ventrilo BF2 channel? I didn't see how there could be but I wanted to check. I was in a game the other night and at first I could hear everyone on my team. I either got switched to the other team by the server or miss clicked a tab and switched myself but I found that I could still hear everyone from the original team I was on. I didn't want to ask this question in the middle of a game so I just disconnected from ventrilo. Is there an etiquette on what channel to join and or when?
Thanks,

Good question Monk, I guess it is the assumption that we're always going to be on the same team, so hearing each others comments is not an issue. In practice however, there are instances where some guys are on the other team and it makes unintentional spying a reality to be considered. Maybe the etiquette should be that when on teampeak or ventrillo, there should be a separate channel for the opposing team.

I was just on the download portion of the Ventrilo website and noticed that the version we are currently using is no longer available for download. At least I didn't see it. The only version I saw was the Public, and Pro versions of the 2.3. According to what I read was that the Public version has no license fee to use. Only the Pro version has a fee attached to it to use. I don't think that I misread it. If that's the case why don't we use the updated version? By swithching we would have support available if we need it.

Hi...I had a major crash again but this time I got wiped out completely. A virus got thru McAfee and destroyed windows sp1, therefore, unable to reinstall windows using repair mode. Had to use "new" install. I need the older version of Ventrilo to install. Ventrilo web only has a newer 2.3 ver. Thanks
