It seems that command and conguer:generals is now gold, and will hit the shops near feb,11th.
I didn't get it. I played the multiplayer test, and the game is too weird. First of all it has good looks,cool units, and unique strategies for each side. BUT(There's always one) the game has too much super weapons (at least 2 per side) and a strange resources (really strange). The game is also too varied, and reminds me of Yuri's revenge. There's also the "towards warcraft" feel in the game, since you have a lot of upgrades and such.
Well, since westwood is going to be "closed" in the next month, there are two things i really don't know about the game:
1. Will it be supportes, patched, and monitored, because it seems the game is going on a highway to hell, just like emperor:battle for dune.
2. Will there be more balancing, and rebalancing of the game ?
Well, without these two questions answered. i would not recommend buying the game (yet). You don't want to buy a used car with no engine, now would you  ?

What do you mean that Westwood is going to be closed? Out of business or merged into EA?

Mergign with EA, though i don't know what will happen to all of westwoods' universes....

Itīs not worth the time you spent trying it out, but if you guys want to have a look you can download from my ftp both isoīs. This game is crap, bored me to death after 3 scenarios...

well, the game has nice graphics, and also it has the same mechanics as in Red Alert 2. It's all a matter of taste, after all .
anyone else tried it ?

I thought it was OK.It really pushes my comp even off line (has a 700 mgz MINIMUM requirement).
The SP player campaigns are so so,seems more like a long tutorial to learn the game for MP.
No broadband yet where I am so MP is out . You mentioned DUNE,it was the same way,impossible to play with a modem.
