Was online last night on OMO's Ranked server (67.19.33.21:16567) and was kicked/banned for excessive teamkilling. Funny thing is, I didn't have any teamkills. I'm thinking an admin kicked/banned me for some reason.
I would like to find out why, and possible see about getting it removed. I wasn't base rapeing, loading a flag with c4 waiting for the hapless victim, nor was I choperwhoring. I was simply runing/driving from flag to flag in a 2 man squad. I as AT, with 1 support. Working around the base looking for people defending, killing them, then taking the flag. Isn't that what the game is about?
It happend last night on Shangi Stalemate around 9pm. (cst) Now I understand that if an admin didn't like me killing them, or took offense to something I did, they have the right to kick me, but permanently ban me?
Please let me know if anything can be done, or if I'm simply out of luck getting the buisness end of an Admin on a bad night?
Thanks for your time,
Big_|)addy (pid 44387112)

I recall two or three people that were banned. As I recall they were Bombing the Main base without all the flags. We do have rules and it gets real tiresome game after game. These people that don't read the rules should. If they don't, it should be real obvious because most all servers carry the same rules. Team Killing you say? I also remember a player last night that would kill a Team member attempting to board the Helo so he could use it.( Vehicle Whore) Ginko was the victom of this rule infraction. I can dig deeply in my memory blanks and recall a couple of names that I personally witnessed these infractions. I don't recall any person getting kicked by an Admin for TK's What was your name you played under last night? Coming to our MB and posting shows your concerned and might have been a victom of someone elses errors.

Big_|)addy is my ingame name. Like I said, when I got kicked, my support and I were taking a base, circling the base, looking for snipers/spec ops, defending. There were ALOT. Wipe them out, then take the flag, killing anybody that spawned and tried to stop us. Flag was VERY capturable. We took it, next think I know, punkbuster gave me a nice little message stating you've been kicked for excessive teamkilling. Which if I was playing commander with art, or engineer with mines, I could see. But I was playing AT, and with AT, you HAVE to aim at EXACTLY what you want to hit.
Thanks for looking into this.

We don't have any control over PB. If it kicked you in err maybe you need to update something.

It might not have been punkbuster message. But it was the message for being kicked for excessive teamkilling.

That's not exactly right Pacemaker. We can and have Kicked/Banned for TKing if it was really obviously done on purpose. I kicked one the other night. I approached a team mate, we looked at each other a few seconds and when I turned to go another direction he blew me away.

I thought we could go back and look at the logs that depict exactly what was going on up to tha kick point? In fact, I almost know it's available although I do not know hot to obtain any information like that.

The log only goes back to 10:20 as I see it. Is there a way to enable the log to record for a couple of day's?

I saw the message when he was kicked. It was a message from the game, I remember just saying that he was removed from the game. Don't remember if their were any details of why.

I was wondering, has any more thought been put to this?
Or am I simply banned for life from your server?
Thanks for your time.

I'll re-enable that for all admins. You really can't get any info from the list. It just has the hash value. I disabled it cus I had banned a couple of guys and 3 days later the list was empty. I may have been wrong but I think someone cleared the list making it possible for the ones that were banned to get back in. What good does it do to ban someone if one of us is clearing the list? It may have been a mistake which I figured I eliminated by disabling it for everyone except the main admins. The list hasn't been cleared since :)
All OMO admins now have access to manage the ban list. There are 9 entries. We'll see how long it lasts.

That's fine Catheter if you want to keep it closed. However, when there are re-instate request we need to take care of them quickly. Actually, I like the idea having just one or maybe two people able to play with it.

I don't know how to reinstate someone that's been banned cus I don't know how to connect the hash value to a name or IP address. I'll see what I can find out.
Heart check out what I mean. If you click on the ban tab and click refresh ban list on the right, 9 items are listed. Just the hash value and nothing else.

Can you 1. create a copy of the ban list 2. Clear the existing ban list 3. Ban Big Daddy once again (so you can identify his 'hash value') 4. Re-instate the original ban list and remove the now identified hash value.
In the meantime research the construct of this 'hash value'.
