I have noticed that when playing on any of the night maps that when using night vision the game play gets real choppy. Has anyone else noticed this?

Well, I did have two other alternatives.
1. Say Nothing.
2. Give you all the run-around with a load of technical crap that would be a figment of my imagination. I know, that's what I usually do... but I'm giving you a break.

when I put on the night vision I see no cross hairs for my guns. I have to right or left click, can't remember, then I get a red cross hair that comes up but I have to hold the button down and push the other button to fire. It sucks or do I have it set up wrong?
Also, I have played several rounds on other SF servers and have yet to play on one that WASN"T laggy. I don't know if it's so big or what.

The lag is because SF is such a graphics hog....They added so much that most have to turn there settings down to play it or roll back to later drivers for AGP cards..as far as the crosshair thing, thats a new one to hear about

Heart, what color are you normally using for your cross hairs? I'm using red and they show up fine with night vision. No clicking, no button holding or any other finger gymnastics.

My $.02, I get no lag with SF and see my cross hairs with nigh vision. Don't care for the night maps though.

Well I was wrong. I have cross hairs. Only when I point the arrow or the hook.
Also, as far as the lag in SF I use to have loads of it. Then I did this:
If I'm playing SF I go completely out of the game to desktop and start SF from the SF icon. Not the normal BF2 icon. This has all but put an end to the mess.
If you noticed when you open the game the normal way then hit a SF game your screen goes through all kinds of crap, even reloading the BF2 start page before the game loads. I have a sneaky feeling the other game is running in the background. Although I'm not smart enough to figure that out.

I'm with Rigor on the cross hair part. I use red also and it shows up better on the night maps. I don't have to click on anything except I right click to zoom/use scope, if your weapon has a scope with a red dot.
As far as lag, it seems about the same for me on both mods, but I have connection issues constantly anyway.
