You're using the Gimp, is that correct?
If so, that could be a problem. The logo is a .gif file and out of the box the Gimp doesn't (or at least didn't) do .gif files due to some sort of copyright problem or something. There's some sort of patch or way around this. Do you have it? Otherwise, I could send it to you in .png, .psd or .psp format to retain the transparent background. Can you handle any of those formats? Another choice would be to just send you a .jpg on a white background or something.

AGed , the .jpg will be just fine , yes i do use the Gimp , i also use Adobe PhotoDelux "business edition" that i use to change any,.gif to .xcf which is what s required to save layers in Gimp, ohh josh just told how ive been doing it :) he said i downloaded a utility and installed it :( i dont remember doing that though, i think my brain is quicker when its like .jpg though, i have a metal flake utility that im trying to get to work now, do you use a metal flake in your paint ?

I use Brian Simpson's chrome layer available at Team Lightspeed.
To use it for colors (Photoshop directions), you make 2 layers and set the blend mode to overlay for the lower one and to mulitply for the upper one and then adjust the opacity on the upper one (multiply) to get the color you want.
I could send you the layer with the logo on it that I use (it's the right size to go on a headlight). You want both? (normal size and headlight size)

hmmm im going to open adobe and paint in it , i have never used it befor because i know gimp already from linux usage
