On the BCO Server #2 64.34.214.4 will be used tonight for scrim with OMO and then I will be setting it for EF and AF maps Monday. It will be ready for AF users on Tuesday morning first thing. Armored Fury will have all maps in rotation, while only the 64 player sizes of Quarry and SmokeScreen and 16 player of Great Wall will be in rotation for about a week or so.

I would like to see this server become a popular stop, as our main server has become lately. Please give it a try when you download AF and pass the word to friends and such. And as always, OMO are always welcome on the BCO servers any time.

We have changed the line up a bit on our AF server. We dropped the EF maps, as we found most people left when they came on. We put in both 32 and 64 versions of the AF maps, as well as Strike, Mash city, and Sharqi. This seems to be a nice line up.

What is OMOs plan for rotation. We are talking about a rotating server schedule so that we all get variety and still play on home or friendly servers.

Example;

Mon - BF2 vanilla maps
Tues - BF2 and AF maps
Wed - SF
Thurs - BF2 vanilla
Fri - BF2 and AF maps
Sat - BF2 vanilla
Sun - SF

My thinking was maybe we can work with you guys to get a rotation that includes both groups (OMO and BCO) and both groups servers. We have 2 ranked servers, and I know you guys have at least one.

Get back with me if you guys are interested in something like this.

Glad to see SF on your list. We haven't finalized the rotation. In general we run a profile that has most of the vanilla and all AF and EF maps so we can switch to either. We are trying to set up specific nights as you have in order to encourage OMO to play SF and the booster packs and assure we can start the server with enough people to attract others to play. We dropped ourt 2nd server, so our plan was to rotate on our main server.

Well, if you all want to have one or two days a week when you run SF, we will be glad to get a few in to play. We most likely will stick with a Vanilla rotation on the main server, and a AF / City maps on the second, so that would work nice. If you all want to do one AF/EF night and we could do one, that would give us a few other days to do Vanilla or what ever.

Possible example

SF on OMO Mondays and Thursdays
AF / City at BCO on Tuesdays
Wed open
AF / EF on OMO Friday
Sat. Sun. Open

Just an idea. I think with some planning and posting the rotation both places, we could get things hoppin.

Us too, and that is part of the push behind this. Myself and a handful of other BCO/BCR like to get a game going around 5 - 7 pm EST, but we can never get the required 10 to start. If we server share (for lack of a better term) we can make it work.

Not sure if one of you is the "Grand Pupa" here at OMO, but if you guys want to put together a proposed schedule and get it to me or just post here, we can work to get a nice schedule put together for both parties. I have told my guys that I am trying to get this worked out with you all and see if we can make this work.

I think its a great idea to work jointly to keep both our servers populated.. but the schedules are just too much to keep track of.. Most people when they log-on just wanna play on a populated large server, and BCO BCR and OMO all like playing with one an other.. because we know we'll have mostly a smacktard free game and it will be tight and competative..

Another smart idea might be just to insitute the map voting on the server again... I know this doesn't solve the SF problem but that can be delt with one or 2 nights a week.. but at least if you have a map vote then maps will change to the majority of the people on the server's prefrence.

just my thoughts.

I hear what you are saying dementia, I haven't seen a map schedule work yet. However, I haven't seen this much effort going into trying to set one up either.

We should pick a day or two for SF where all of OMO and BCO is involved. From what I've gathered the powers that be are working on this. Just taking a wait and see to see how it all shakes down.

I don't think I've ever played SF with any OMO or BCO, looking forward to it. If it's a small group, we should all jump on the same TS/Vent Channel.

sounds good cus I like about half the SF maps and 1 or 2 really suck. I hate Devils Perch. That being said we have voted a couple of times to run SF on Sunday but it hasn't worked in the past. The latest idea was just to set the schedule and stick with it until people get used to what nights the maps were running.

I think if we work together and help populate each others servers it would work. Since you guys are going to run SF on Sunday I'll see if we can get a concensus on running SF on Wednesday since it is open on you proposed schedule.

As far as AF, I have been setting it to run first in the lineup and then it goes to the standard BF2 maps. My thinking was the guys that want to play them can and the regs that don't can still come in around 9:30 - 10 and the regular maps should be getting started if the server gets populated early enough.

I like the idea of voting for the maps Dementia mentioned. That would give us a better feel for what people wanted if the actually voted. I haven't seen it in awhile. Is it still an option? I'll check into it further.

We will plan on running SF on Sundays (64.34.214.4)

The rest of the week (save Wed. for SF on your server maybe), we will be running BF2 maps on our main (64.34.180.219) and will keep running AF (32 and 64 of each map) and 3 city maps on second server (64.34.214.4). This line up has been pretty popular so far.

We are missing a bunch of members right now (vacations, work, etc) so feel free to drop in our servers, and we will do the same.

This is great. I used to play SF with you guys back when it first came out. Looking forward to it again. We post a reminder on Sunday to make sure people make and effort to populate your server. Those who want to play vanilla (whether BCO or OMO) can play on the OMO server.

Anyone know how the map voting works, how to start a vote, etc?

You need to stop server, go into BF2CC, Settings, Misc. Click to enable voting. Set vote time and min. to vote. Then, save and apply profile.

In game, I believe it's tab, right click, move cursor to top min, and map vote should be there.

Don't bother with it as I think it enables mutiny and player kick voting. No need to spam the game chat with all of the BS that goes with the voting.

I agree, lets leave voting disabled. Whenever I'm on a server with voting going on I just leave because it basically says "public server" and "no admin present" and "lots of smacktards here"
