Howdy all been quite a while since I been around...been playing a lot of Dawn of War and Mercs because I can play them on my dialup connection...man I miss playin BF2 with you guys.

Anyway wanted to tell you all about NetMech IV, well a little bit anyway as it is in beta but I think its gettin close to its first release. I am on the beta team but can't give out a whole lot.

I can tell you its got four different time era's 3025,3050,3067,3070 which means that what ever time era you choose to play in is what mechs and equipment are avaible. It runs off of Mercs but has been changed so that the weapons and heat-output are more like CBT which is what their intentions are. Jump Jets put out a ton of heat when jumping as they should so jump sniping is not gonna be near as prevalent as it used to be. Weapons ranges have been reworked to make them match CBT(Classic BattleTech).

in 3025 there are no clan mechs or equipment just IS stuff. 3050 Clans show up and Clan mechs and weapons are available only for clan mechs but are way stronger than IS mechs which is realistic to the CBT storyline. 3067 and 3070 tech gets closer to each other and more weapons available. Also sounds have been redone. Voice taunts added this last patch

I have played this MOD and it works great, it auto updates the patches and patch sizes are 1 or 2 megs so really easy for the computer illiterate out their. at least it is in the Beta. I assume it won't change much. It is a very well done MOD and well worth looking into if you like Mechs and CBT but got tired of the Jump-sniping . Well thats all I should say for now. By the way its being done by MechStorm at:

Thanks Antique, is this an open Beta ? I haven't driven a Mech in way too long. I will give it a look.

If the problem isn't solved, there are still survivors you missed.
