If you are interested, the following was posted on the Total2142 site (run by our server provider)The interesting thing is it will be done on ranked servers, so you get to keep your stats and get a head start. I signed up.
Hello, Battlefield 2142 soldiers!
DICE has recently announced closed beta testing for Northern Strike. Northern Strike is the latest Booster Pack from DICE featuring 3 new maps, 2 new vehicles, unlocks and more. Unlike most of our beta programs, this one will feature RANKED servers. Testing will be conducted on Ranked Servers and stats won’t be wiped.
In order to access the Battlefield 2142 Northern Strike Beta:
Please go to www.combattesting.com
Follow the Instructions for the beta in the News section. If you have time, please give periodic feedback on the Combat Testing forums. You don’t have to summarize each round, but this is a beta test, and we really need your feedback as well as presence on the server for load testing.
Your participation only helps making the game quality better for the rest of the Battlefield 2142 community. Please forward this info to your friends, the more the merrier!

I am happy too! I just hope I don't end up on a server with you with auto-balance again. That made me really grumpy at 1:00 AM this morning...nothing like getting switched as a squad leader to a horrible side.

better than two? it seemed i was always PAC

We like running one round so we can play more maps. We just got 2142 CC running again after the new version came out a few days ago. Our provider runs linux servers and it broke 2142 CC about a month ago. We had issues a couple of weeks ago and when they brought our server up it lost all its config info. We couldn't change any of the auto admin stuff until this weekend. I will go and make sure it switches teams after every round. That's how it is supposed to work.

I changed it to running one round per map after Saturday due to some glitch that was causing Gibralter to play over and over and over despite trying to push it to a different map. However, it was certainly changing teams.

I am definitely buying it, but I need to figure out how to revert to a previous patch so I can find a server with a compatible version so I can play again. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

To revert, you have to REINSTALL..yea it sucks, but I Did the same..and took and copied it for back up and then Beta patched so I can play either version. You did update the 1.2 didnt you UT. I had server problems after the Open beta came out. Good Luck with it bro.
