I havent tried this as yet but it comes from a great computer Guru, I've known for about 10 years. OK alot of u complain about slow logins to BF2 so here a few things u can do to speed your login up. I login in approx 6 seconds Very Happy
rename all your movie files with .backup at the end or put an _ score in it. so they stay in the folder except (menu.bik and menu_loggedin.bik) leave those alone NOw ur all set launch BF2. Ive done this since i started playing this game and had no errors or kicks because of it.
rename these files only to :
Dice.bik --> Dice.bik.BACKUP or Dice_.bik both ways work jus rename them EA.bik --> EA.bik.BACKUP Intro.bik --> Intro.bik.BACKUP Legal.bik --> Legal.bik.BACKUP
OK after all this is done goto your desktop to your BF2 icon and right click then select "properties"
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +playerName XXXXXXXXX +playerPassword YYYYYYYYY --DONT FORGET THE Capital P and N on password and name--
(XXXX= Your ingame account, YYYY= Your ingame password)
6. Then select “Apply” and “OK”.
7. Done! Now you no longer have to manually login to Battlefield 2!!
NOTE: However, depending on your internet connection and computer speeds, you may experience a black screen while the account is being logged into. This is normal!
Now using this shortcut will automatically log u in and bypass all the videos. If u like to use multiple accounts to login with just use the shortcut from the start -programs -eagames bf2 exe The target there will not be changed to log u in automatically unless u make the changes there also..
Hope this helps yell if u have a problem pretty simple and takes just a few minutes to do. Prob less time for u to load the game originally LOL.
