Bloody is considering throwing some S.F. maps into the mix. I requested no night maps. Does anyone care enough to post here or there.
ps we do have an OMO heading in their public forum if you want to sound off there. It was started primarily so we BFers can chat when are boards are "down". I'm posting there as a way to keep the brotherhood bonding going

i don't care for the nite maps either.
i must say some of the best maps are SF (warlord, ghost town).

No nite maps please. Although I'm getting my eyes checked on Friday.
I'm afraid we may lose a few potential players by going with SF maps. Handful don't have it.
I say we try it on a Thursday or Monday or whatever date and see who shows up. Keep Wednesday as a vanilla BF2 night only.

Agree on the night maps, the night vision on SF really sucks. I haven't seen any good night vision maps since the old Ghost Recon series.

Well, I'm sure you guys will have played and gone to bed by the time I get home from work....but like everyone else I don't like night maps...some of the SF maps are ok...again, can we maybe do another one on the weekend?

Hey guys, seems that we have a number of BCO's that never bought SF (loosers. LOL) so we are thinking about this idea.
BF2 Vanilla on Wednesdays like normal
SF on Mondays (could become normal. LOL)
So for this week at least, we will plan on running BF2 vanilla Wednesday and then putting it on SF for next Monday.

Sounds like a winner Bloody. During the week since Heart is still out surfing when we all have to head off to dreamland maybe we could add a Saturday or Sunday to the schedule.

Dcon, or Desert Conflict, is a mod of BF2.
SF, or Special Forces, is also a mod, but made by the BF2 team.
Dcon is fun and the maps bring back memories, but i think most
of us are up for SF.
except for botkillers and futuristic, snow-bound botkillers. . . =)

SF for Sunday and Monday sounds great to me. I will put up a vote in our forums to make sure the troops want that. I tend to get in trouble when I just do things without a vote.
Shin, also Dcon has no rank stats and people are very much into stats. I would like to run some mods but our server has to be either or.

I like SF. I was playing Warlord and Ghost Town a lot before 2142 came out. But I'm a city map guy and with no vehicles is even better :D

We have SF up for Sunday and Mondays. It's set for Infantry only and only one night map (the airport one). Warlord, Ghost Town, Iron Gator are the main maps.

I know I sound like a broken record when it comes to mods, but the Hard Justice mod, which can be played mano a la mano, put the grappling hook in the sniper kit. The grappler has a huge line on it and when coupled with the enhanced sniper rifle, you can get as high up as you want and have a blast.
