I have a 7900 right now and think it prob wont handle Age of Conan very well. It meets min specs but not the recomended specs. That usualy means you can install the game but prob wont be able to actualy play it.
I did some research and the predictions are that the 9900 will be faster than 2x9800GTX. Its suposed to be out in Q3 and they say they are pushing for July. The new ATI card also comes out around then. AoC comes out this 20th so it would only be 1 1/2 to 2 months before the 9900s and new ATI hit the shelves. I can hande lvling up PvE for that long before getting serious about PvP. That is if my old 7900 will work at all.
So my question is if my old card works on lower settings should I wait for the 9900, get 2 9800s or is there a better option? Price is not a issue and I want to have a card that lasts me a while. By the time I would be looking to SLI with another 9900 the price should drop a lot.
I think Im goin 9800 too. If the 99 series is all that much better.Ill step up again. Its gonna cost me 178.00 to step up from my 9600 to the 9800. Cool beans. Lots easier than shellin out all the bucks at once. But the 9600GT is a great card...but im looking forward to the crysis mods commin and need those frame rates high as affordable. Too bad they are on backorder now.
