Yep, seems we've done all we can do here in Hawaii. Made/spent alot of cash here but it's time to mosey on down the road.
Closing down the condo on Waikiki this weekend, packing up everything I want to keep, which surprisingly isn't much and catching the overnight Monday out of Honolulu.
Great times here for all the family over the past 2 years but, I am looking forward to getting back to my own bed and the long list of honey-do's.
I'll look even more forward to get my comp hooked up to that T1 line at my home so I can get a great ping to know you yahoo's off the screen!
So, this is Aloha to Hawaii...and HOWDY to Texas.
Be playing around most of the weekend then packing up the comp and accessories and shipping them home. Hope this trip is better than the one over. (Remember? UPS put a fork lift thru the box my comp was in and it went right thru the glass door......then I guess the lifted it, raking the guts out...OUCH!
So, after Monday it may be a week before I get back on but should be back better and faster...

I'm sure the "rock fever" has gotten to you HB. Gotta get back on the mainland. Is your company slowing down like the rest of the world or did you request to come home?

It must have really been tough being forced to live on that rock. Won't it be great to get back to subfreezing temps again? LOL!

Well, after a frantic weekend packing up everything I am finally home in Dallas. Hopeing all my electronic crap I have accumilated the past couple years (12 boxes) make it here over the next couple days. Feels good to be home and last night I went to bed at 7:30 after being up for almost 2 days (couldn't sleep on plane) and woke up at 8 am. First real sleep I have had in a while. Felt good.
Family is excited I am back especially the wife. The girls are excited and had a little "welcome home" get together last night. All's good in the Heartburn home now.
Merry Christmas guys.

Update--
Well crap. I sent 7 boxes containing everything from a 60" flatscreen to my computer a week ago Monday.
Today I received 6 boxes. They can't find the 7th!!! Guess which box??
Yep, my computer...
They are trying to trace back to find where it is. UPS says it made it to DFW...after that seems to have dissappeared.
The only good thing is I had it insured for twice as much as it took to build it after they trashed my last computer while enroute to Hawaii from Texas.
So, any of you guys want a new computer....just get the insurance and ship the damn thing to Hawaii....boom.....you get a enough money to update the entire thing...We'll see..
I give up....

Well, I finally got a call from UPS yesterday. Seems they have found my computer. Somehow it ended up in Australia....I wonder if Batty had anything to do with it. They are saying I should get it by Tuesday or Wed. So, I hope it's all in one piece...will definatley make sure before the delivery guy leaves after dropping it off...
