I have this build from CyberPower ($1,908.27 all in or $1,687.20 + tax and shipping):
(The idea is to buy another video card in the future to run dual vid cards. The rest should have a pretty nice life expectancy. Had to go with XP Pro and I will be skipping Vista completely until the next MS OS comes out)
Please give me a comment or two if you see something that is wrong. I will use my existing monitor.
UPDATED (changed to 3gb ram 1800 speed)

I'm debating the memory issue. 32 bit XP Pro only supports up to 3 GB of Ram. I don't want Vista because of my productivity software I do not want to have to upgrade.
guess I should just take the 3gb ram and call it a day. Maybe get a little better vid card or just save the money.
(Final is to go to 3gb of 1800 speed ram and keep the XP PRO)

What size monitor are you running?
Good CPU, will easily Overclock to 3.33GHz and beyond.
You can add Ram later for cheaper price.
Good Video Card, pick another one up in a year or so for SLI'd Bliss.
Good Mobo.
Good Power Supply
Looks like your good to go!
Sting Seal of Approval.

Can't remember exactly, but it is a 21-22" LG brand Flatron widescreen.
I could not wait, so the deed is done. Expect delivery in a couple weeks (too cheap for fast shipping).
So, if you have any comments, only post the good ones....

WELL THANKS ALOT.........Ask for input and then just go ahead and do what you want any............The nerve of some people.
Looks good if you got the upgrade PS as a 420w wouldn't cut it. That system will do just fine and later down the road you can add a second GTX 260 and still have one kick ass system.

My wife would think I had gone off the deep end if I overclocked and did water cooling. It was bad enough for her that it wasn't a Dell.
As for the, "it only costs a little bit more to....", items, I had to keep it under $2,000 to get the green light. I've been trying to get a new computer for 2 years and I was blown away yesterday when the wife (after getting an update on our checking account balance) gave the go ahead. I knocked down the price by keeping my existing monitor, not doing the second video card I wanted, and keeping XP Pro so I did not have to get new MS Office. (All of which I can upgrade later with this system - unlike what I could do with a Dell.)
The EVGA was not my first brand choice for the video card, there was one other I researched that was better, but the EVGA was high on the list and CyberPower did not offer a better option at the time.

Like EVGA as well, great customer support and forums.
Also love this little utility.

I use it mostly for the manual fan control feature. Auto feature isn't aggressive enough for me.

My opinion, I'd go with the EVGA, as I've heard great things about both boards and EVGA has a lifetime warranty for products ending in 'A1' (the X58 mobo is one of those). Also, I believe the Asus board has a v1 and a v2, where the v2 is actually missing something - but I don't recall what (some hardware component).

I just found my notes on the video card. The ZOTAC GeForce GTX 260 AMP²! (requires nForce based mobos) is the other card I was talking about above that has better performance due to the "next level of performance primarily due to NVIDIA's second generation architecture coupled the addition of 24 streaming processors, upping the total to 216." Whatever that means.
Here are a couple links:

Zotacs Amp Editions are almost as fast as the fastest watercooled cards from the factory are. I never have any issues with my Amp 9800GTX. So far im happy and getting 90 FPS in every game but Crysis...its around 40. My best 3dmk06 was http://service.futuremark.com/results/showSingleResult.action?resultId=7404222&resultType=14
