Who knows how to hack past this in Vista?

I want to use my pw after I get access.

I once had the same problem, I somehow drunkenly mistyped my password twice in a row, and then couldn't remember what I'd spelled.

I googled around and found something, but it took awhile.

Might be easier for you to just tell your brother you stole his laptop and ask for the pw.

Try this option out Nosey: (my guess is that your brother never created a password reset disk which you do BEFORE you loose your password)

With this option you have to boot from a CD and then manipulate the SAM database. Manipulating the SAM database is always a bit risky. But if you have no password reset disk, this is the only way. Note that this tool comes without any warranty. I’ve been using it quite a few times on Windows 2000 and had never any problem with it, though. The latest version also supports Windows Vista. The download link of the tool is a bit hidden. Search for “download” on this page http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html .

Just an FYI Festus: Nose's brother died a couple of months back.

So, unless he uses a Medium, which would be wrong, he has to go the more Hacker route.

I got a PM from Nosey. It was a damn funny comment until he ruined it.
