Ok, after a long ordeal I finally have my machine back and running! It appears my first power supply just up and died and the one I purchased to replace it was bad as well. Hence, it took three weeks for one of them to return via the RMA process. Ugh!!!! Anyway, the good news is that everthing appears normal now.

So what did you end up with, and what did you get rid of?

I am basically back to the same configure as before. The first working PSU to return from RMA was a corsair 850W. Newegg is sending me a new modular corsair HX750 in the next few days. I was hoping the modular 750w would arrive first as the 850 isn't modular but I wasn't going to wait. It took me a little longer routing cables and cleaning up all the extra wires with the 850w but it was worth it. I guess it doesn't hurt to have an extra PSU.
