This game: Plain Sight, is pretty darn fun. Cheap too. Picked mine up through Steam and have been enjoying it greatly.
You have a little robot who has one attack. As you destroy your enemies, you build up power which is converted to points when you self-destruct - more points when you catch opponents in the blast. There are power-ups you can spend the points on to increase speed, powers, and the like.
Perhaps the more interesting aspect of the game is the movement. You can leap (an increasing attribute) and the density of an object pulls you back. The maps themselves are designed to make the leaping, charging, and gravity enjoyable.
It is.
If you are worried about the "suicide bomb" aspect: you are playing a robot against other robots, not people. There is MP, which is quite fun.
