Nice, been spending a little time in the small ones myself lately. A friend of mine talked me into taking the job of Group Transportation Officer in the Civil Air Patrol and doing a little Search & Rescue. We just ordered a new Cessna 172 which I will be responsible for.

I stole this one. Now I have two and my wife is freaking out. Guess its better to collect planes instead of girlfriends!

I guess if you're going to be in charge of the Cessna, you'll have to do a lot of flying to check out the plane, right? I use to have an old Beech 170. It was used to fly cargo from Plainview TX to Amarillo. Had a heavy landing gear and you could land the damn thing just about anywhere. I used to fly it to oil leases and land on lease roads. Remember once we were drilling a well and needed a new bit, flew to Fort Worth, pick it up and flew right to where the rig was...an hour later it rained for two days and it was stuck there for almost 2 weeks because of the mud on the roads...lol Oh well..

Very cool!

Grew up in planes, as my aunt and uncle had a jet charter service. Personally flew 152's, 182's, Navajos, Lear 25's, Lear 35's and a G4. Haven't done any flying for years and years since the USAF said NO to my poor uncorrected vision.

Had no idea there were others out there in OMO & BCO with flight experience. Got rid of all my airplanes years ago in prep. for retirement. At one time I had 3 all in one hanger. Twin Comanche, Bucker Jungman & Cessna 120. I spent a fortune but what a blast!
