Hi Guys

I just wanted to drop a line and say "thanks" for letting me join. I'm an avid gamer who plays anything I can get my hands on.

I want to reach out to Arcane specifically, for turning me on to OMO and the community.

I wish you all an adventurous gaming experience.

Currently you can catch me in Defiance, Darkfall, Dayz (Brahs)

So... not to give to much away but AC is one of my sons who... meets the minimum age criteria to join. He reached out to me today and said he wanted to sign up to the site. I'll let him talk a bit about his gaming experience. It is at least as comprehensive as most of our members... part of being brought up a gamer in the Arc house I guess :-)

Novus Ordo Seclorum

Knowledge is power... has been since time eternal. Arcane knowledge is thereby ultimate power and can
therefore lead to ultimate corruption. Wisdom (and the experience that comes with age) is a serum for corruption.
Perhaps that is why there are so many Old Men with Arcane knowledge and so few young ones...

A little about little old me - Written by little old me

It all started with a floppy disk and the ability to copy games. It was a great time. Then it all stopped. The end.

I've been gaming for ... a long time. I remember some of the best and earliest memories was with Test Drive. There was another one I really enjoyed but I can't remember the name of it for the life of me (you know you've been gaming a long time when... ). It was a lot like Test Drive, but you got to customize your vehicles, do a little roof chopping and what not. From there I moved to games like Quest for Glory or Rex Nebular and the Gender Bender - Adventure games were amazing fun. Let's fast forward a bit - - -

I played everquest when it first came out and had a blast. I didn't play it long enough to develop some of the social disorders that most long time EQ players have. World of Warcraft was the next exciting event! I remember being accepted to the friends and family beta while stationed in Japan. Talk about a great time! It was new and exciting! Then I remember Arcane complaining about MMOs and it went something like "Give it a purpose. Why are there wolves running around here? Why do the just spawn? I want a reason for things... ... " not an exact quote but it ruined me for the rest of my life. I've been gaming hopping ever since. The closest I have come to perfection was SWG PreCU and in a close second place is Xsyon: Prelude. Xsyon holds a special place in my heart as I was able to run as their Community Manager for about a year and had some fun fun fun. Alright, so from there I have dabbled in Eve and just about every other MMO out there. None of it is enough for me - either it's too scripted or too sandboxy (empty).

Right now I'm playing Defiance as it lets me go shoot things up with my buddies while I watch the TV show. I'm also playing Darkfall which is a good time. Very sandboxy but the "level" curve is very aggressive and the strong just keep slapping you down. It's fun :) I also get into Dayz from time to time with the Family. It's nice to get the heart beating in an uncomfortable rythm.

What am I looking for? Currently I'm waiting for Archeage. I think... and I hope ... that it's the closest thing to what I'm looking for in an MMO. It's either that or The Repopulation. I'm also excited to see Star Citizen come about as that's going to be a BLAST.

That's about it - I'm open for gaming and having a great time.

I would not be surprised Bloody. I try to spend my way into a level playing field. Maybe some guys have a slightly slower rig, that gives me the time to decide what I am going to shoot.
LOL
