If I ever get proficient at using Bryce, I might just try my hand at making a Mercs map.

Here's the idea:

This month's issue of National Geographic has a lot of stuff about Everest, including a really cool looking map. On one side is a sort of photograph with lots of features and routes etc. I was drawn to the area of the Khumbu Icefall. It's rather flat with lots and lots of cracks and ravines, surrounded on 2 sides by mountains.

Which got me to thinking...

A relatively flat, cold map with lots of ravines and a bit of a slant to it might make an interesting map.

I'm not sure what effect the slant would have, but the ravines could be interesting. It could be used by poptarts or even by brawlers snaking their way to the other side.

What do you think?

(now, if I just can figure out a way to hard code FFP in ...)

I'll post a picture once I figure out how to use Bryce better. It makes great pictures, but I'm finding that getting exactly what I want is a little tricky.

Sounds damn fun to me

Novus Ordo Seclorum

Knowledge is power... has been since time eternal. Arcane knowledge is thereby ultimate power and can
therefore lead to ultimate corruption. Wisdom (and the experience that comes with age) is a serum for corruption.
Perhaps that is why there are so many Old Men with Arcane knowledge and so few young ones...

Of course, you realize that people with Long Toms would have the range advantage on the up-side. Blizzard conditions would have to be murder.

I like the sound of it.

Have any of you tried that New Battlefields demo for Merc? It has a new arctic map that's kinda like the area Aged described...

I downloaded it last night. If there's a map like that, I guess I'll need another idea. Of course, I could also go with my inability to master Bryce.

Well, it wasn't a MP map in the demo, just one of the IA missions... if it isn't an online map in the full release,.. then I suggest go for it.
