It least it doesn’t pay me when I’m playing Star Citizen.

I decided to try my hand at smuggling drugs. I grabbed my stealthiest ship that can carry cargo, my 315p.

I flew myself to Daymar and filled up my small cargo hold with as much illicit material as it would hold. Oddly enough, I forgot to put my helmet on and found myself gasping for air (Daymar doesn’t have a breathable atmosphere.). Perhaps I should’ve taken that as a warning…

My ship’s loaded up and off I go to a reclamation center on Hurston. Those guys will make shady purchases. I get my ship pointed in the right direction and pick a spot to land. It’s basically a junkyard and landing can be tricky. Down on the ground, I shut down my engines … nothing. I try to get out of my seat … again, nothing.

Then, bam .. a 30K error (SC players are familiar with those. It’s basically the game crashing.)

Ok, I relog.

I’m all the way back at the station where I started, 50M or so clicks away. I spawned my ship, opened my cargo bay and the cargo is still there! I quickly close the cargo bay to keep guards from spotting my illegal goods.

I climb back in my ship and head back off to Hurston again. I get close to the reclamation center again and. … now the game locks up.

I relog yet again and this time I’m in a hospital gown back at the station where I started. I went to the terminal to respawn my ship and see it’s been destroyed.

So, I lost the gear I was wearing. I lost my cargo and, of course the money I used to buy it.

Straight and narrow for me now … maybe
