But I am approaching retirement, so I got melancholy and dropped by.

No posts in a long time so I thought I'd post so Arcane keeps the site up. No longer with TLB, just an average schmoe playing a lot of strategy games and Deck builders these days.

Last OMO I interacted with was Aged, but unfortunately I went on vacation after we started playing Dune (sorta) together, and I just didn't pick it up after I got back.

Hope you all are well!

Hey Festus! Nice to have you drop by. The site was down for about a month it always takes folks a while to get back.

I plan on keeping the site up until I die... so there's that.

I have about 3 more years before I retire. You never know though... given all the AI layoffs in tech that could come sooner rather than later.

I thought you’d already retired (and not just Dune ). I recommend it. I thing I’ve found my calling.

I officially retire from my (former) practice at the end of this year. I don't know what I will do next as I am woefully unqualified to do anything but Dentistry.
Not sure I'm ready to quit cold turkey, but I won't worry about that until the fall. Until then I'm planning on heading back up to the Yukon on my bike this summer, and next year I'm going across Canada.
Sorry, no US planned because, well, you know.

Aged I felt like a real schmuck getting you into Dune then never getting back into it after going on vacation. I'd start up again, but you are probably the President of Dune by now and would have my head chopped off and my water removed.

As I said earlier, I left TLB for personal (read political) reasons because I cannot simply abide with the insults and threats made towards my Country. Hopefully there will come a day where this is old news but until then I'm going to stand up, and speak out, about it when opportunity knocks.

Anyhow...will shut up about that for now. Arcane, you aren't that far away and you will always be welcome on my doorstep. OK, fine...Aged and others too because up here in the Great White North we still welcome sane Americans who want to visit us.

I can always be found on STEAM as Festus (I have a maple Finger avatar) if you want to contact me. Currently playing deck builders like Slay the Spire and Monster Train, and looking for some survival games to play, but without others to COOP with, it better be special. Have been busy with Grounded 2 early accessd.dd

Anyhow, all the best!

OH OH.....don't know if you can drop the TLB from my name. I will look around for a way to do that myself.

A motorcycle sabatical sounds like a great way to kick off your retirement!

As for Dune, I haven't played it for a long time. I'm sure all my stuff has been consumed by the desert now and I don't have the desire to redo it all.

As for your name, Festus OMO is still available ...

Windrose looks like it might be something you’d be interested in.

Currently trying out Crimson Desert (its SP) and not sure about it. It was designed for console and game pad users so the mouse/keyboard thing isn't great.

Hoping for good things from subnautica. Maybe I'll be able to talk Aged into joining me so I hcan leave him to drown somewhere.....

Seems Aged gets that kind of scenario a lot...

Thanks Festus. Once I retire, I might take you up on that offer. As for now, crossing any border is too much of a pain in the ass. A lot of paperwork I need to fill out.

Let me see what I can do about your name. For now I'll see if I can just remove the TLB... but Aged is right. There is still a Festus OMO available... just sayin
