OK, this is the process of getting onto the server. READ THE ENTIRE SET OF INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE DOING!!!!

THIS IS A WATCHED DOWNLOAD. IT DOES REQUIRE WELL TIMED USER INPUT!!! FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE YOU TO HAVE TO START OVER!!!

1. Download and install Leaf. Http://www.leafnetworks.net It's a free VPN program. It's what we use to connect to the server.

2. Create an account on Leaf.

3.PM the following to enter you into the system.
- The Username for Leaf that you created
- The Server Account Name that you want
- The Server Password that you want
- An e-mail to send the Installer file

4. Launch installwow.exe and choose "World of Warcraft" from the drop-down box below the image. After it downloads the installer it will come up with a box that says "Install World of Warcraft". Notice in the lower left hand corner that it says the version number that you are downloading. Pay attention to the version number, as we have a target to reach.

5. Click "Install World of Warcraft". WHat it will do download the files, Approx. 3.2gb, and install them for you. When it's finished, it will bring up the launcher and try to start patching. CLOSE THE LAUNCHER!!! DO NOT START PATCHING!!!

6. Download and install World of warcraft: The Burning Crusade using installwow.exe, following the instrictions for the classic version. It does the same thing as Classic WoW. Again, CLOSE THE LAUNCHER!!! DO NOT START PATCHING!!!

7. Download and install World of Warcraft: Wrath of The Lich King unsing installwow.exe. It does the same thing as Classic WoW. Again, CLOSE THE LAUNCHER!!! DO NOT START PATCHING!!!

8. Copy and save the entire World of Warcraft folder to another location, just in case there is a problem from here on. If there is a problem, these files will bring you back to the version that you originaly downloaded.

8. Start patching. Run Launcher.exe Notice on the left side of the title bar how it says "World of Warcraft Version x.x.x.xxxx" This is the version that it is currently at. Pay very close attention as this will change after each patch.

9. Stop patching once the version number reaches 3.0.8.9506. close the window before it finishes the next download.

This is the order that the launcher will patch:

Current Version: Patch afterwards: Size
3.0.1.8874: 3.0.1.8874 to 3.0.2.9056: 389mb
3.0.2.9056: 3.0.2.9056 to 3.0.3.9183: 20.6mb
3.0.3.9183: 3.0.3.9183 to 3.0.8.9464: 51.4mb (Beware! New launcher. Doesn't restart after patch install)
3.0.8.9464: 3.0.8.9464 to 3.0.8.9506: 6.76mb click downloader right side to monitor download
3.0.8.9506: 3.0.8.9506 to 3.0.8.9551: 10.6mb
3.0.8.9551: STOP PATCHING!!!

STOP PATCHING When Patch notes say 3.1.0!!!


10. Delete the World of Warcraft shortcut that is on your desktop.

11. Open Notepad. Copy and Paste the following text, including the quotation marks:

@echo off
"C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Wow.exe"

If you saved wow to a different folder, change the path that's within the quotation marks.

12. Save it on the desktop as StartWoW.bat. Make sure that it daves as a batch file, and not a text file. The icon on the desktop should look like a window with a gear in it if it was saved correctly.

13. Navigate to C:\Program Files\World of warcraft\data\enus. Make a copy of Realmlist.wtf.

14. Open up Realmlist.wtf with notepad. Mark it so that always opens with notepad.

15. Edit the old realmlist.wtf so that it says ONLY the following:

set realmlist 5.2.41.69

16. Save & Close realmlist.wtf. Close all the other windows

17. Double click on StartWoW.bat on your desk top.

18. Start Playing and have fun!

you have to have a lvl 70 character in order to create a death knight. It's called a heroic class for a reason. Currently, only peps that can make one, other than admins, is Father Fury because he has a lvl 80 mage.

If you haven't logged on since I had to wipe the databast to fix it, which was like 2 months ago, then you'll have to create a new character.

KJ, I went on just a few min ago and none of my toons are there. Also, tried to start a new toon and it said something about "Character creation has been suspended for this server....."

I just want my DK dang it. lol I don't even care what race, etc. Just give me a lvl 60 DK. ;)

So, I've decided to open up the server to everyone else, seeing as how we're getting close to actually making the server box and implementing it full time.

Death Knights are working!!!

Thanks to the guys over at UDB, they finally got the database close to something resembling the current version of wow. Here's the patch notes:

Backpain, Father Fury and I just finished doin the server's first dunegon run. Was rally cool. A priest and 2 hunters.

Hopefully we can get enough people for a raid soon. =D

Changed the database array structure so that it is expandable and the only database that connects the different realms is the account database. Put final touches on the file structure. Unfortunately, during the changes, the old character database was not able to be transfered to the new one for Renovatio. You'll have to make your character over again. At the moment, everyting is at default settings.

In process of working with configs. If there's something that you'd like to see put into the server, PLEASE post.

Edited it so that on Renivatio, you can only join alliance. If you sent me info, PLEASE try it out. We need more peps on so that we can test out things like the auction house and the arena system. Soon as we get over 10 peps on at a time one alliance, I'll open up horde and we'll try out the battlegrounds.

Great stuff. I was working on my reincarnated Hunter, Stonegut last night.

There is definately a little bit of work to do to get your guy up to snuff for level 60. Train all your weapon and defense skills back up, learn all your skills and whatchamacallit points selected, relearn how to use all of them, buy a mount (no worries there as you start with 5000 gold), learn a couple skills (medical likely being the most important), and doing some general equipping. Good thing is that is pretty fun to get you back in the swing of things and refamiliarize yourself with the game and interface.

I'm typically playing most nights between 8:30 to 10:30 (will be out Mon/Tue on my son's class trip to the capitol).

Changed the starting level to 60. You still start at the newbie zone. don't forget to do your class quests.

Also changed the drop rate to the following for items:
Poor (grey) = 10x
Normal (white) = 20x
Uncommon (green) = 30x
Rare (blue) = 40x
Epic (purple) = 50x

For those that see me while I'm on, I'll gladly give ya the tier 1 armor set, provided you don't already have it. As for the weapon, you'll have to work for it.

Note for hunters:
You are now able to tame low level beasts, and they automaticaly become your level. for instance, if you're level 60 and you want a beast that's level 5, you can tame the beast. After taming, it will become level 60, the same level as you.

I'm quite partial to the higher xp and rewards and 5000 gold to start.

Is it possible to get a starting toon at level 60 on Renavatio? I ground levels 1-56 in Blizzard's WoW and never got to the end game that is where I really want to explore.

There are now 2 realms up.

Renavatio = 4x xp, 40x gold
Sakima = blizlike (nothing has changed)

Same account name, same account info.

I'm still working on Sakima, getting all the stuff put together, mobs put in, all that jazz.

Provided that you followed the instructions, delete EVERYTHING out of the World of Warcraft folder. Copy and paste the ones you saves, per step 8. Start patching, and pay real close attenion.

OK, got it downloaded and patched and stopped at 3.0.8.9506 and finished the reat of instructions. I click on shortcut and it opens WOW start menu and askes for log in when I enter name and pass word it won't accept it. I did have Leaf open and I also noticed that the version of WOW shows 3.09.9551 even though I stopped patch at 3.08.9506.
