Posted - Feb 14 2003 : 22:41:42 Nope, not at all ol' friend. Just fed up with folks attitudes. I mean, what the hell is wrong with people?
"Oh cool someone died doing this? Wow lets make it a reality show on TV that will get some great ratings."
Folks were trying to keep pieces of the shuttle Columbia for reasons that are beyond my comprehension.
It is a really sad, sorry, state of society that we find ourselves in my friends. |

Posted - Feb 14 2003 : 15:18:48 Yeah, what the hell is up with that? The thing that pisses me off is that computer games get a bad rap for "disturbing the mental stability of our children" when it isn't the damn games at all. I mean what about TV? Comments like that just go to show you that it is all about mental instability in the first place. That A-Hole that Hipster is refering to isn't going to be "corrupted" by watching the race (and hence the wrecks) nor by playing NR 2003 Season. I doubt that he will go hop in his car and go on a wrecking rampage due to either... if he does it will be because he is an unstable, twisted, SOB in the first place.
*Arcane slowly walks away in disgust, a dark cloud hanging over his head... fists clenched in anger... * |

Posted - Feb 14 2003 : 13:16:56 I was at an appliance store today getting a new element for my oven. Another customer was there desperately pleading to get his TV back from the repair shop so he could watch the race Sun.He said he could listen on the radio but his ONLY interest was seeing the WRECKS!!
He left with a 13" loaner,happy as a clam. I just can't figure it out. |

I noticed that the high line does work a lot better on the plate tracks than it used to. |

Posted - Feb 13 2003 : 17:25:36 just a thought aged , if we get our LPI up , with a few more races in then a bad race cant affect our LPI near as much, when that happens then we can go ahead and race some high risks tracks,
i thought that i would start practicing some SW tracks in single player soon, hernia will getting 2003 also soon im still racing with him in 2002 if we can get these setups for dega and daytona fine tuned, as roids ,heartburn, and hernia get into 2003 , we can jump them up quick
besides i expeinced and saw that a tight 5 car draft can go high and pass every one ,, it was spooky!! |

Posted - Feb 13 2003 : 09:50:49 I love this game! It's a big improvement over NR2002 - kind of subtle at first, but after you drive awhile it really grows on you how much has gotten better.
I had a couple of good races tonight with Pace. Unfortunately there are still quite a few jerks out there, but there's some decent people out there too.
I ran Bob Stanley's Talledega setup (which a few minor tweaks) and I definately concur with Pace's assessment - they're fast. I need to do a bit more tweaking (and practice of course) because I had some trouble with pushing on the exit of turn 2. It's probably my line.
I'm at level 1 SS (haven't run any other kinds of tracks yet) with an LPI of 45 (which incidently is how many laps I've run. ) What do you want to do next, Pace? Keep working on the LPI at the plate tracks? Or, maybe, try a track like Michigan, and start working on a speedway rating? I'm jealous of you LPI, BTW.
Oh, Roids, we're talking about NASCAR Racing 2003. Are you thinking you might give sim racing another try? |
