I was over at my moms house last week. Cleaned up the spam and crap on her computer. Deleted a bunch of crap she didn't need and was slowing down her already rather slow computer.
I downloaded a cd copy of Kaspersky Anti-Virus. I bought 4 keys about 6 months ago. I was using 3 and so I was going to put the 4th on my moms comp.
After I downloaded and it updated it asked me to activate. When the thingy where you insert the key number came up it wouldn't take "0". As in the code was something like:
00bfd-000lty-bfdn0-0008
For some reason it wouldn't take 0. I could put in all the letters anywhere in the squares but when I tried to put in 0 it told me o was a undesirable number or something like that. It was similiar to a keystroke issue.
Could something to do with her keyboard be the issue? Is something not set correctly? Have no freakn idea. Kaspersky says the code is authenticated...so it's not the key..

...any thoughts old wise ones?

Screw Kaspersky , use AVAST, http://www.avast.com/ Better than average, good interface, free!

Well, since he already spent the money:

Heart, did you try another keyboard?

If the KB is not the issue, try typing the Serial into notepad. From there you can copy paste it into the activation section.
